    摘要: An x-ray tube cathode with magnetic electron beam steering. In one example embodiment, an x-ray tube cathode includes a cathode head and an electron emitter. The cathode head includes electrically conductive and non-magnetic material integrated with magnetic material. The cathode head defines an emitter slot in a portion of electrically conductive and non-magnetic material positioned between two portions of magnetic material. The electron emitter is positioned within the emitter slot. The electron emitter is configured to emit a beam of electrons. The beam of electrons is configured to be both focused by the electrically conductive and non-magnetic material and steered during beam formation by the magnetic material.

    摘要: An aperture cooling structure (a cooling structure used for the open X-ray source) 10 comprises an aperture unit 31 formed with an aperture 33, a holder 34 for holding the aperture unit 31, and a heat dissipator 36 connected to the holder 34. The aperture 33 restricts an electron beam E from passing therethrough on an electron path 4 of an X-ray generator (open X-ray source). The heat dissipator 36 has a heat dissipation member 37 including a coolant flow path constituent part 41 and a heat dissipation member 38 including a coolant flow path constituent part 42. The coolant flow path constituent part 41 and the coolant flow path constituent part 42 are combined with each other, so as to construct a coolant flow path 43.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a cathode for an X-ray tube, an X-ray tube, a system for X-ray imaging, and a method for an assembly of a cathode for an X-ray tube. In order to provide a cathode with an improved and facilitated assembly, a cathode (10) for an X-ray tube is provided, comprising a filament (12), a support structure (14), a body structure (16), and a filament frame structure (18). The filament is provided to emit electrons towards an anode in an electron emitting direction (24), and the filament at least partially comprises a helical structure (26). Further, the filament is held by the support structure, which is fixedly connected to the body structure. The filament frame structure is provided for electron-optical focussing of the emitted electrons, and the filament frame structure is provided adjacent to the outer boundaries of the filament. The filament frame structure comprises frame surface portions arranged transverse to the emitting direction, and the filament frame structure is held by the support structure.

    摘要: An electrically heated planar cathode for use in miniature x-ray tubes may be spiral design laser cut from a thin tantalum alloy ribbon foil (with grain stabilizing features). Bare ribbon is mounted to an aluminum nitride substrate in a manner that is puts the ribbon in minimal tension before it is machined into the spiral pattern. The spiral pattern can be optimized for electrical, thermal, and emission characteristics.

    摘要: Provided is an X-ray generator comprising a cathode for generating electrons; a rotating anode having a cylindrical electron impingement surface, an X-ray focal point being formed by a region in which the electrons impinge upon the electron impingement surface; and a Wehnelt electrode for imparting an electric field to the electrons emitted from the cathode. The Wehnelt electrode has a field formation surface for forming the electric field, and an electron passage aperture formed by the field formation surface. The field formation surface of the Wehnelt electrode is inclined with respect to a plane tangent to an outer circumferential surface of the rotating anode at the center of the X-ray focal point. The center of the cathode is in a plane orthogonal to the field formation surface and aligned with the center of the electron passage aperture.
