Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for winding up metal strips (2) onto a winding mandrel (3), which is arranged in a reeling shaft (1) and to which the metal strip is passed by a driver having a lower and an upper driver roller (5, 6), wherein a table (7) is provided underneath the metal strip (2) for guidance and a pivotable strip diverter and, adjoining the latter almost up to the winding mandrel (3), a pivotable shaft flap (11) are arranged above the metal strip. By measuring the strip tension in the reeling shaft, it is intended to regulate the driver in such a way that the running of the strip makes it possible for the metal strip to be wound up to form a coil with straight edges. To achieve this, the longitudinal tensile force exerted on the metal strip (2) by the driver is determined by means of a strip tension measuring device (13), which dips into the metal strip from above in the reeling shaft (1), and the measuring signal is passed to a driver regulating device (22) to control the running of the strip by the driver. In the case of an apparatus suitable for this purpose, the strip diverter is formed as a strip tension measuring device (13) which dips into the metal strip (2) from above and is provided with a diverter body, which has a rotatably mounted roller arm (16), carrying a roller (17) at its front end, wherein a force measuring means (20) that is connected in signalling terms to the regulating device (22) is arranged between the diverter body and the roller arm (16).

Abstract:
A looper for measuring a wedge proportion of a longitudinal pull present within a strip in a longitudinal direction of the strip, wherein the wedge proportion is present across a width of the strip, has a looper shaft and pivot arms each having a first end and a second end, wherein the first ends are connected to the looper shaft. A continuous looper roll extends across the width of the strip and is supported on the second ends of the pivot arms, wherein the looper roll is adjusted relative to the strip by rotation of the looper shaft. Each pivot arm has a looper shaft arm, a looper roll arm, and a joint connecting the looper shaft arm and the looper roll arm to one another. A dynamometer is connected to each pivot arm, wherein the joints of the pivot arms deflect a return force, exerted by the strip onto the looper roll and corresponding to the longitudinal pull, onto the dynamometers, respectively.
Abstract:
An arrangement for measuring the planarity of a rolled strip which is under tension in a hot strip rolling train with a roughing train and a finishing train including several roll stands and a reel. At least one measuring roller is arranged in rolling direction between the first roll stand of the finishing train and the reel, wherein the rolled strip is guided over each measuring roller, so that the measuring roller is bent as a result of the strip tension; in addition, pick-ups for measuring bending of the measuring roller are provided.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method and a coiler mandrel for coiling metal strip (110), wherein the coiler mandrel (100) comprises a mandrel body (120), a plurality of radially expandable segments (115) arranged around the mandrel body (120), and a plurality of hydraulic cylinders (116) by which the segments (115) can be moved in the radial direction. To be able to coil the metal strip with a circular coil eye even when the friction varies in the individual cylinders, the invention proposes that each cylinder (116) of the plurality of cylinders be individually controlled.
