Methods for creating build sequences which are determined using computational chemistry algorithms to simulate mechanosynthetic reactions, and which may use the mechanosynthesis process conditions or equipment limitations in these simulations, and which facilitate determining a set of mechanosynthetic reactions that will build an atomically-precise workpiece with a desired degree of reliability. Included are methods for error correction of pathological reactions or avoidance of pathological reactions. Libraries of reactions may be used to reduce simulation requirements.

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for document based query and information retrieval which rapidly locate similar documents within a document corpora providing a document based search result to the search initiator including one or more estimated measures of similarity for each search result item and appropriate search result document metadata. After providing document based similarity approximation search results, the system also rapidly retrieves and determines more accurate measures of similarity, including the relevant document terms and term statistics used to determine an exact measure of similarity, between the document based query document term collection and individual search result document term collections using one or more computing devices, that are application and platform independent, participating in a distributed multicore processing environment. One or more web clients transmit document based query and information retrieval requests to one or more restful services which provide the document based search results to the search initiator via stateless HTTP responses and requests. Dimensionality reduction techniques are used to limit the total number of similarity approximations and document term data similarity calculations performed during both nearest neighbor pre-processing and document based searches. The systems and methods disclosed include document based query and information retrieval embodiments providing document search results to the search initiator which include the details supporting exactly how two documents are, in fact, similar using a given particular document based query and a specific measure for document based similarity.

A method and system for distributing video calls includes receiving a plurality of incoming video calls originating from a corresponding plurality of calling endpoints over a data network. A corresponding plurality of first connections is formed with each of the plurality calling endpoints. Data is streamed over the plurality of first connections while the plurality of calling endpoints awaits availability of one answering endpoint. A second connection is then formed between one of the plurality of calling endpoints and the one answering endpoint to replace one of the plurality of first connections when the one answering endpoint is available.

In a method and apparatus for monitoring tool wear, noise emission signals associated with a cutting operation of the tool are monitored and evaluated to determine when the tool has become blunt. With the system disclosed, friction noises associated with the cutting tool are excluded from analysis.

To accommodate multiply clients at any given time. These boxes are kept at any designated vicinity and neighborhood, where a client could easily walk to collect the samples or products required. These samples or products can be seen and selected physically as compared to electronically. Moreover, the samples can be returned and exchanged as required.

The system for sending and receiving messages from an electronic control unit of the vehicle includes a processor, a database, and a port in communication with the processor. The database contains information as to the emissions of the vehicle and the port is configured to communicate with the electronic control unit of the vehicle. The processor is configured to receive information from the electronic control unit of the vehicle, compare the information from the electronic control unit of the vehicle with information found in the database. By so doing, the processor can determine if the information from the electronic control unit of the vehicle does not match the information in the database. If this is the case, the system can provide an indication to the user of the system that the vehicle may have been tampered with and any emissions related testing may be incorrect.

A vehicle computer interface and software upgrade tool is in the form of a module. A base module contains basic vehicle interface, information and software. Additional modules can be connected to the base module or similar modules to provide a user or technician with the latest interface and software upgrades for vehicles, new vehicle data and new reprogramming features for existing vehicles. This is an expandable system which enables a user of technician to only purchase a relatively small module or component that contains the new interface or information rather than having to repurchase an entire new scan tool or vehicle analyzer. The modules are readily connectable to a vehicle's data port, commonly known as an OBD II connector or port. The modules also include additional connection ports for power in, power out, USB and/or pin connectors which provide for the export of data and other connectors. These modules can also be used in conjunction with an intelligent cable. The intelligent cable has a small computer embedded within the cable to enable sensitive electronic components to be used without cable transmission losses or electrical disturbances.
