    摘要: A display board system for football coaching applications is provided. The system enables football coaching staffs to communicate any convey information to on-field players, such as the personnel types of the opposing team or the specific play call for the ensuing play. The system includes a visual display board, a control device, and a control application. The display board includes one or more rows of illuminating numbers that displays any selected set of one or more numerical digits for viewing by the on-field players. The control device is in electronic communication with the display board via wired or wireless connection and is configured for use by the coaching staff to input the desired information for display on the display board. The control application is a programming application configured to run on the control device to enable operation of the control device to display information on the display board.

    摘要: An electronic down and distance marker system that may comprise a first marker, a second marker connected to a first marker by a physical member having a distance of about ten yards, and a down marker. The present system may include a measurement device for measuring a linear distance between the down marker and the second marker and one or more electronic displays disposed on one of the down marker and the second marker that may display a down and/or the measured linear distance between the down marker and the second marker. A light projector may project one or more of a line of light corresponding to the line to gain, and/or a shape to optically mark the line to gain on the sideline. A remote control, camera and/or an improved wireless measurement and communications capability may also be incorporated into the present system.

    摘要: A method, system, and devices are provided in which modified digital signatures are used to provide a dynamically generated number suitable for use in transactions requiring validation. The method uses symmetric key encryption to encode a message comprising authorization information and may use compression algorithms to provide a truncated message digest such that the dynamic number may be processed by existing credit card or other authorization systems. In part, this method is an improvement over other validation methods as decryption, which requires greater computing power, is not required. The method may be performed through the use of various devices. For example, credit cards may utilize the method to dispose the dynamic number in a magnetic strip or to transmit the dynamic number via radio transmitter. Smart cards, smart phones, or USB devices, optionally may be utilized to perform the inventive method.

    摘要: It is disclosed herein that blockade of inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor (IaI) prevents the development of airway hyperresponsiveness in animal models of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Provided herein are methods of treating an airway disease or disorder in a subject by administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of an inhibitor of IaI. Also provided is a method of preventing or reducing airway hyperresponsiveness in a subject by administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of an inhibitor of IaI. The IaI inhibitor can be any compound that inhibits the expression or activity of IaI or a gene encoding an IaI polypeptide. In some embodiments, the IaI inhibitor is administered locally to the airway of the subject in need of treatment. For example, the inhibitor can be administered by aerosol delivery, such as by using an inhaler or nebulizer.

    摘要: To allow a video clip to be rendered within an e-mail, the video stream is converted into an animated image object (e.g. a GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) object) and stored on a server system. An HTML image element/tag ( ) is created that references the animated image object at the server, for embedding in a conventional HTML-encoded e-mail message. When the receiving e-mail application processes the HTML encoding, the processing of the HTML image element causes the referenced animated image object to be downloaded and displayed, thereby automatically presenting a recreation of the video stream. To facilitate efficient transmission to the receiving device, the size of the animated image object is preferably optimized before transmission, the optimization including general optimization techniques, as well as optimizations based on the particular characteristics associated with the receiving device and/or the communications link to the receiving device.
