摘要: The present invention is a system for optimizing production of biomass. The system contains one or more growth modules under a shading element that diffuses light. Each of the growth modules has a plurality of vertical growth columns arranged on a bottom manifold. The biomass is grown within a liquid growth medium held within each of the vertical growth columns until it reaches a desired growth. The biomass is then harvested through gravitational flow of the biomass and the liquid growth medium out of the bottom of each growth column. The bottom manifold collects gravitational flow of the biomass and liquid growth media from each growth column and aggregates the output of each individual column into a collective output of the growth module.

摘要: A filter bag support structure, including a first section and a second section. The first section includes a pair of opposed alignment members located partially internal to the first section and extending outwardly away from the first section aligned to insert into the second section. The second section includes at least one annular member. The alignment members are receivable within the second section and have engagement members near a distal end. A locking member is removeably insertable between the opposed alignment members and inhibits the alignment members from flexing inwardly when the locking member is inserted and causes the alignment members to resist being removed from the at least one annular member when a tension load is applied that would tend to separate the first section from the second section to a greater degree than when the locking member is not present.

摘要: A flush toilet includes a bowl assembly defining a bowl. The bowl assembly has a discharge outlet at a lower end and a ledge circumferentially extending about a substantial portion of the bowl. The bowl has a rear surface that is generally flat and vertical. The rear surface transitions to the ledge as the bowl continues clockwise and counter clockwise from the rear surface. A horizontal dimension of the ledge increases as the ledge continues from the rear surface to a front of the bowl. An angle of the ledge increases as the ledge continues from the rear surface to the front. A maximum slope of the ledge is located proximate the front. A nozzle is mounted to the bowl assembly for pressurizing a source of flush water and delivering the source of flush water to the bowl for rinsing and flushing of the bowl. The nozzle is positioned at a rear portion of the bowl and produces a first flow of water in a first circumferential direction about the bowl and a second flow of water in a second circumferential direction about the bowl. The second circumferential direction is opposite to the first circumferential direction. The ledge cascades the first and second flows of flush water down the bowl as the first and second flows of water move in the first and second circumferential directions, respectively.

摘要: This invention relates to a method and a corresponding apparatus for coating open-pored bodies with at least one coating suspension. In particular, the coating suspension has solids and solutes in a liquid medium in a quantity in wet state which is to correspond to at least a required target quantity. The coating operation has a variation in the applied wet coating quantity from one body to the other. The method according to the invention is characterized by the steps of: coating the body with an actual quantity of the coating suspension, which is always larger than the required target quantity taking the variation of the coating operation into account, determining the difference between the actual quantity and the required target quantity, and reducing the difference between actual quantity and target quantity by removing still wet coating suspension.
