    摘要: A thermal energy thermal energy containing arrangement for an exhaust gas purification device incorporated in an exhaust line of an internal combustion engine is provided. The purification device has an inlet port through which exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine can flow in and an outlet port through which the treated exhaust gas can flow out. The arrangement includes a retractable upstream thermal energy containing arrangement located upstream the purification device and a retractable downstream thermal energy containing arrangement located downstream the purification device and an actuating arrangement for controlling the position of the upstream thermal energy containing arrangement and of the downstream thermal energy containing arrangement within regard to respectively the inlet port and the outlet port of the purification device, the upstream thermal energy containing arrangement and the downstream thermal energy containing arrangement being movable between (i) an engine operating position wherein the upstream thermal energy containing arrangement and the downstream thermal energy containing arrangement are in an at least partially retracted position and allow the flow of exhaust gas in and out of the purification device and (ii) a thermal energy preserving position wherein at least one of the upstream thermal energy containing arrangement and of the downstream thermal energy containing arrangement shut off respectively the inlet port and outlet port of the purification device.

    摘要: The mixing system includes a mixing chamber in which exhaust gases can flow in a flow direction, a nozzle designed to inject a fluid inside the mixing chamber, according to an injection direction, and an evaporating device positioned inside the mixing chamber, downstream from the injection inlet. The nozzle and the evaporating device are movable one with respect to the other, so that a substantial portion of the flow of the fluid injected into the mixing chamber hits the evaporating device regardless of the flow rate of the exhaust gases.

    摘要: In an exhaust gas pipe, a first fluid flows in a flow direction in the pipe, and a second fluid is injected inside the pipe by a nozzle, from an injection inlet arranged in the pipe wall, according to an injection direction. A mixing device fastened inside the pipe upstream from the injection inlet creates turbulence that helps the mixing of the fluids. The mixing device has a first portion located on the injection inlet side of the pipe and a second portion located opposite the injection inlet side of the pipe, the portions being designed so that the fluid velocity is higher downstream from the mixing device second portion than downstream from the mixing device first portion. An aqueous solution of urea can be injected inside an exhaust pipe of a diesel engine.

    摘要: An engine arrangement including an internal combustion engine and an energy recovering system includes an exhaust line collecting exhaust gas from the engine,a filter having an active portion inserted between two successive parts of the exhaust line, in order to hold the particles contained in the exhaust gas, and filter rotating means designed to rotate the filter so as to shift the active portion of the filter, a secondary line carrying intake air towards an area of said filter distinct from the active portion, according to a direction opposite from an exhaust gas flowing direction inside the filter, so as to sweep the particles away from the filter and release them downstream, inside the secondary line. The secondary line includes a first arrangement, located downstream from the filter, for burning the particles and thereby heating air flowing in the secondary line, and a second arrangement capable of recovering the heat into work.
