Lumps of meat having voids within the inside thereof include a fowl having been freed of the plumage and internal organs. A mixed gas having a carbon dioxide concentration of 8 to 90% and an oxygen concentration of 0.05 to 70% is preferably used as the previously-mentioned mixed gas. A packaging material having a shrinkage percentage of 15% or more or exhibiting a permeation degree for an oxygen gas at 23° C. and 80% RH of 200 ml/m2 datm or less can be suitably used for the package.

An apparatus is provided for manufacturing a cushioning package containing an article to be packaged. The apparatus includes a cushioning sheet forming unit to form a cushioning sheet by heat-sealing flexible elongated resin sheets which are continuously fed in a longitudinal direction and placed one on another in advance in a width direction of the sheet, the cushioning sheet including small sacs. Downstream from the cushioning sheet forming unit, an article storage space forming unit is provided for forming an article storage space by folding the cushioning sheet along a longitudinal centerline. A sheet adhering unit adheres the overlapped cushioning sheets. An article disposing unit inserts the article to be packaged into the article storage space, and an air filling unit fills the small sacs with air. Sequential performance of the above steps achieves efficient manufacturing of cushioning package.

In failure analysis method of a semiconductor memory device, an absolute value of a position difference between two fail bits of a two-dimensional bit map is calculated while a histogram corresponding to the absolute value of the position difference is updated. The bit map indicates a map of fail bits and each fail bit corresponds to a fail memory cell. The above calculation is repeated to all combinations of two of the fail bits in the bit map. Then, an expectation function value is calculated for each of values from the histograms and the number of the fail bits. Finally, whether the fail bits has regularity or irregularity for each value is determined based on the calculated expectation function value for the value.
