A Mg alloy member with an anticorrosive coating free from any enviromental load can be produced by using a solution for chemical conversion treatment for anticorrosive coating, which comprises 0.05 to 1 mol/l of an oxoacid compound of heavy metal selected from Mo, W and V and has a pH of 2 to 6 adjusted by sulfuric acid or nitric acid, and is characterized by contacting the surface of Mg alloy preferably containing 2 to 10% Al with the solution, thereby forming a specific oxide film and, if necessary further forming a fluorine-containing organic film on the film, the resulting Mg alloy member being used in electrically driven blowers, note-type personal computers, various household electrical appliances, etc.

The present invention is aimed at providing a magnetic disk and a magnetic disk apparatus both of which have a high performance lubricating film which makes continuous sliding endurance and low adhesiveness compatible, and a lubricating film having a self repairing function which makes it possible to recombine scratched off lubricating agent from the magnetic disk surface by sliding with a head onto the magnetic disk surface. The lubricating film comprises at least two kinds of lubricating agents each of which forms an individual layer, the layers being laminated. An adhesion enhancing layer is formed between a magnetic film and a lubricating agent at the surface of the magnetic disk, and the adhesion enhancing layer is fixed onto the magnetic film surface. Then, the adhesion enhancing layer and the lubricating agent are combined. The adhesion enhancing layer and the lubricating agent form a salt or complex body, and the lubricating agent can repeat adsorption and desorption with the adhesion enhancing layer reversely by a thermal reaction.

A printing system is provided which ensures easy formation of a plate and regeneration of the plate for continued use. The press plate used in a the printing system to form an image using a water-based ink is characterized in that, (I) prior to formation of a latent image, the surface forming the latent image exhibits extra ink-repellency to the ink to be used; (2) the press plate allows a water soluble material forming the latent image to be deposited thereon; (3) the latent image can be formed by allowing the water soluble material to be deposited on the press plate surface; and (4) the press plate can be regenerated as a plate which allows a new latent image to be formed by washing the press plate with water and drying it, upon completion of ensuing processes of development and transfer.

A lubricating film is provided for a magnetic disk having a data region and a CSS region formed on its surface. The lubricating film ensures low stiction and good resistance to contact sliding in the data region and also ensures good CSS durability in the CSS region. Therefore, it is possible to provide a magnetic disk and a magnetic recording/reproducing device which do not cause problems with sliding between the magnetic head and the magnetic disk while the apparatus is running normally and even when the apparatus stops accidentally. The lubricating film formed in the data region of the magnetic disk is firmly fixed to the surface of the magnetic disk and is hardly liable to stiction. In addition, it is thick enough to ensure good durability even in the case of contact sliding. The lubricating film formed in the CSS region is composed of a lubricant which is firmly fixed to the surface of the magnetic disk and another lubricant which is weakly fixed to the surface of the magnetic disk; therefore, it is superior in CSS durability. This contributes to the highly reliable magnetic disk and magnetic recording/reproducing device.
