摘要: A smart medicine container is provided to secure accesses to a bulk supply of pills stored therein and pills dispensed therein. The medicine container comprises a control unit, a memory, a communication interface unit, a pill-supply housing configured to store a bulk supply of pills, a pill-supply locking means configured to lock access to the pill-supply housing, a dispensing assembly configured to dispense pills from among the bulk supply of pills, and a dispensed-pill housing configured to receive and store dispensed pills, a dispensed-pill locking means configured to lock access to the dispensed-pill housing. The control unit is programmed to irreversibly cause the pill-supply locking means to lock access to the pill-supply housing and irreversibly cause the dispensed-pill locking means to lock access to the dispensed-pill housing when receiving information indicating that the bulk supply of pills should permanently discontinue to be taken by a patient.

摘要: A method is provided to remind a user of a communication device of a conversation point for a future communication. The communication device has access to a contact list, with each contact list entry configured to retrieve a communication address of an entity, a name identifying the entity, and any user-inputted memo for reminding of a conversation point. The method comprises receiving an input indicating a need to activate a first contact list entry for the user to perform at least one of receiving and requesting a communication addressed to the communication address thereof. The method further comprises checking whether there is any user-inputted memo attached to the first contact list entry, and causing an indication indicating a presence of the memo to be automatically displayed on the display screen during activating of the first contact list entry when the memo is detected attached thereto.

摘要: The present invention relates to apparatus, method and system for advertising on communication devices, such as cellular phones. A ‘central contact information database’ containing contact information of businesses and individuals is created. The ‘central contact information database’ is saved in a ‘central server’. One or more advertisements in the form of data, audio, video, or image file or a combination thereof is paired to one or more contact information contained in the ‘central contact information database’. The contact information and paired advertisements may then be downloaded and automatically stored in memory of a communication device. In one embodiment, the contact information is downloaded based on a geographical location of the communication device.

摘要: The present invention relates to an endoscope sheath, more specifically to an endoscope sheath that provides rear view of a hollow body organ when used in conjunction with a corresponding endoscope at the same time when the corresponding endoscope provides forward view of the hollow organ. The endoscope sheath is sized to slip over a corresponding endoscope. It comprises of a rear view module containing a rear image lens and a rear illumination bulb. The rear view module is designed and is attached to the endoscope sheath in a way that when deployed, the rear image lens and the rear illumination bulb face backward with respect to the forward axis of the corresponding endoscope. In this position, the rear image lens of the endoscope sheath provides a rear view while the main image lens of the endoscope provides forward view. The ability to obtain forward and rear view at the same time enables the operator to perform a complete examination of a hollow organ in a single insertion.

摘要: The present invention relates to a smart vehicle identification device that has means to determine the identity of vehicles on city streets and highways. The smart vehicle identification device comprises of 1) an interrogator in the form of a radiofrequency (RF) reader; 2) wireless transceiver, modem and communication ports that serve as communication means; 3) a central processing unit comprising of a processor and memory chip that determines and controls the functioning of the smart vehicle identification device. A multitude of smart vehicle identification devices are placed strategically along highways and city streets; and each smart vehicle identification device communicates with a central control station to form a network. Transponders; comprising of radiofrequency (RF) tags; are mounted on vehicles and contain vehicle identification information. The RF reader of each smart vehicle identification device has means to interrogate the RF tag of vehicles passing through its corresponding interrogation zone on highways and city streets. Vehicle identification information thus obtained is transmitted to the central control station. Suspect vehicle identification information is entered into the computer system at the central control station; which has means to match the entered suspect vehicle identification information with the vehicle identification information obtained from the smart vehicle identification devices in its network; and determine if a suspect vehicle has been identified by a smart vehicle identification device in its network. Law enforcement officials are alerted if a suspect vehicle is identified.

摘要: The present invention relates to an endoscope, more specifically to an endoscope that provides both forward view and rear view of a hollow body organ. It comprises of a rear view module that contains a rear image lens and a rear illumination bulb. The rear view module is designed and is attached to a conventional endoscope in a way that when deployed, the rear image lens and the rear illumination bulb face backward. In this position, the rear image lens provides a rear view and the rear illumination bulb illuminates the area under view of the rear image lens. The present invention enables the operator to obtain forward and rear views of a hollow organ either separately or simultaneously. The ability to obtain forward and rear view at the same time enables the operator to perform a complete examination of a hollow organ that includes both forward and rear view in a single insertion. The present invention enables surgical procedures to be performed in areas that are otherwise inaccessible and out of view of conventional endoscopes. This is made possible by a rear instrument channel located proximal to the rear view module. The present invention also improves distension and visualization of a hollow internal organ by having a rear air/water channel also located proximal to the rear view module. The present invention widens the field of vision of conventional endoscopes by enabling the addition of more than one forward image lens and more than one forward illumination bulb.
