The device comprises a base attachable to the glass by an adhesive, a member carried by the base and spring-urged from a set to an alarm position, and a sensing element holding the member in its set position and responsive only to glass breakage to release the member. The sensing element comprises a curved spring fixed at one end and responsive only to the shock wave of the shattering glass to trigger the device, the spring being immune from triggering excitation normal to the glass plane.

    摘要: An intrusion detection system including a microwave transmitter for generating plane polarized microwave energy, a microwave antenna which is adapted for radiation and reception of the microwave energy in a predetermined pattern, a duplexer for converting the plane polarized energy from the transmitter into circularly polarized energy for radiation from the antenna and for converting received circularly polarized energy reflected from an object into plane polarized energy having an electric field which is orthogonal to the electric field of the energy from the transmitter, a mixer for mixing the received microwave energy and a small portion of the microwave energy generated by the transmitter to provide a signal having a component representative of the doppler effect, and a receiver for detecting the doppler component to provide a signal representative thereof. The signal representative of the doppler effect is received by a signal processor which converts the signal to a square wave signal of like frequency and integrates the square wave signal to provide an output signal which, upon attaining a predetermined level, indicates the presence of an intruder. The duplexer includes a polarizer which consists of a plurality of pins which are located within a wave guide and which are aligned at 45* with respect to the electric field of the energy emitted by the transmitter. The receiver has a probe which is slightly skewed with respect to the electric field of the energy emitted by the transmitter, and consequently, is substantially aligned with the electric field of the plane polarized energy reflected from the object after traversing the polarizer.

    摘要: Electrical contact means for use in connecting a pair of aligned conductors, especially in microwave applications where thermal expansion and contraction is a problem. The contact means comprises at least one block of electrically conductive resilient material engaging the end of an elongated conductor and held in abutting relation with an adjacent conductor, both conductors being within tubular dielectric means which also confines the compressed conductive block. In one form of the invention, a D.C. block in the form of a ceramic capacitor is connected in series with aligned central conductors within a flange mounted connector for a microwave source by means of conductive resilient contact blocks on opposite sides of the capacitor and squeezed between the capacitor and the central conductors. In another form, a pair of aligned central conductors in a two-part hermaphroditic coaxial connector assembly have conductive resilient contacts mounted at their outer ends which are brought into compressed abutting relation when the outer conductors of the two connector parts are drawn into abutment. Various shapes and mounting techniques for the contact blocks are shown, some of which are useful for internal fixed constructions which have a step up or a step down in diameter.

    摘要: A second harmonic filter for a doppler radar intrusion system or the like which includes a cavitiy with an elongated coupling port containing an active device for generating microwave energy which is radiated through the cavity through the coupling port. In one embodiment the second harmonic filter includes a dielectric sheet which bridges the coupling port and which supports a resonant tuning stab. The resonant tuning stub is positioned orthogonal to the elongated dimension of the coupling port and is spaced from the coupling port. The tuning stub forms a capacitor with the coupling port and is dimensioned so as to resonate at the second harmonic frequency to act as a band stop filter at that frequency. In a second embodiment, the elongated coupling port includes a pair of opposed projections positioned mid-way between the ends of the port to form a pair of inductors and a capacitor between them which acts as a band stop filter at the second harmonic frequency.
