    摘要: A process for the production of 4,4'-(phenylenediisopropyl)bis(2,6-dialkylanilines) of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are the same or different and each is a (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl group, R.sub.3 is hydrogen or halogen, and the central phenylene function is substituted in the 1,3 or 1,4 position, by reaction of a corresponding diisopropyl benzene with a corresponding aniline in the presence of catalytic amounts of aluminum chloride. The 4,4'-(phenylenediisopropyl)-bis(2,6-dialkylanilines) are used as cross-linking agents for epoxy resins, as chain lengthening agents for polyurethanes, for the production of hydrolysis protective agents for polyurethanes, or for the production of UV stabilizers in varnishes.

    摘要: A process for the production of 2-vinyl pyridine from a 2-(.beta.-substituted ethyl)-pyridine involves using, as the starting material, a 2-(.beta.-aminoethyl)-pyridine having the formula set out below. The 2-(.beta.-aminoethyl)-pyridine is split by the action of a carrier-bound alkali hydroxide, as a catalyst, at a temperature between 100.degree. and 500.degree. C. into 2-vinyl pyridine and the corresponding secondary amine. The 2-(.beta.-aminoethyl)-pyridine has the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is the same as or different from R.sub.2, and R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each are alkyl having one to eight carbon atoms, cycloalkyl, wherein the alkyl moiety has three to eight carbon atoms, or aralkyl, wherein the alkyl moiety has one to eight carbon atoms, or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 together are --(CH.sub.2).sub.n -- wherein n is 4 or 5 or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 together are --(CH.sub.2).sub.2 --O --(CH.sub.2).sub.2.

    摘要: A process for the production of bismaleinimide derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## In the first step, maleic acid anhydride of the formula: ##STR2## is converted with a methyl-bis-aniline of the formula: ##STR3## in an unhalogenated aromatic hydrocarbon as the solvent, into the corresponding amide acid. In the second step, the amide acid is converted, without isolation, in the presence of an acid catalyst, into the end product of the formula I.
