    摘要: An injector for injecting a medicament into a patient. The injector includes a container defining a first chamber, which contains a fluid therein, and a second chamber. The injector also includes an injection conduit configured for directing the fluid fired from the container into the patient. A transfer mechanism is operable by a user to transfer the fluid from the first chamber to the second chamber in a first stage of operation, and a firing mechanism is operable by the user for firing the fluid from the second chamber through the injection conduit in a second stage of operation. An energy source is in powering association with the firing mechanism to drive firing mechanism in the first and second stages.

    摘要: An injection device that comprises a chamber configured for containing a substance to be injected and a needle operatively associated with the chamber and having a length sufficient to deliver the substance to an intradermal injection site. A collar surrounds the needle, defining a collar cavity. The collar also has a peripheral forward skin-contacting surface that surrounds and is radially spaced from the needle and injection site by an area that is sufficiently large to allow a patient's skin to move into the collar cavity to properly position the needle for intradermal delivery of the substance to the injection site to allow spread of the injected substance under the skin while inhibiting or preventing backpressure within the skin from forcing the substance out through the injection site.

    摘要: The invention relates to methods and devices for delivering medicament by jet injection to an injection site in a patient. The method includes inserting a needle into an insertion point, wherein the needle has a length of less than 5 mm and is operatively associated with an orifice in a nozzle assembly in fluid communication with an ampule chamber containing the medicament. The needle extends less than about 5 mm from the nozzle assembly orifice when the medicament is expelled. Next, a force generating mechanism is activated, and a pressure wall member that is operatively associated with the force generating member moves in response to the activation of the force generating mechanism at a speed sufficient to jet inject the medicament from the ampule chamber through the orifice and needle under a pressure of less than about 4000 psi to deliver a substantial portion of the medicament through the needle and past the insertion point to the injection site. The needle tip maybe part of a retractable needle of a jet injection device, or is part of a fixed needle of a jet injection device.

    摘要: An exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure can provide an injector including a trigger mechanism, an energy source, and a user-operable firing-initiation member. The trigger member can include a trigger member having a retainer portion, and a ram assembly having a ram configured to pressurize a medicament container for expelling a medicament therefrom and a trigger engagement member configured to engage the retainer portion of the trigger member in a pre-firing condition. The energy source can be associated with the ram for powering the ram to expel the medicament, and the user-operable firing-initiation member can be operable for causing an axial rotation between the trigger engagement member and the retainer portion from the pre-firing condition to a firing condition in which the trigger engagement member is released from the retainer portion to allow the energy source to fire the ram.
