摘要: Approaches for a non-volatile, solid-state storage system that is capable of supporting high bandwidth and/or random read/write access. The storage system may include a chassis having a bus slot and a disk bay, a master card mounted in the bus slot, and a flash memory card stacked in the disk bay and cabled to the master card. The master card enables one or more flash memory cards to be communicatively coupled to a single PCI Express bus. The master card may split a multi-lane PCI Express bus into a plurality of lanes, where one or more of the flash memory cards communicate over each of the plurality of lanes. Alternately, the master card may includes active circuitry for processing, switching, routing, reformatting, and/or converting the PCI Express bus into one or more busses for a plurality of flash memory cards. The stacked flash memory card is not in an enclosure.

摘要: An implantable stimulation system including epidural lead for spinal cord stimulation that includes a paddle having a curved proximal end and lateral winged tips and an array of electrodes coupled to conductors within a lead body. The conductors couple to a pulse generator or other stimulation device. The curved and winged paddle provides more complete electrical stimulation coverage to targeted human tissue by minimizing the potential gap between electrodes and targeted fibers.

摘要: Ripcord pins secure a parachute pack and, on removal, allow the parachute to be deployed from the pack. Such pins are provided with indicating means that provide an indication, such as a visual indication, that the pin has been bent. This avoids the re-use of straightened pins that may break in use.

摘要: The utilization of a specific load transfer device for the purpose of allowing for reliable connection and adhesion of composite wood boards during edifice manufacture therewith is provided. Such a device is configured for containment within slots cut into the peripheral edges of such wood boards and cut into a shape therein that is complementary to that of the device itself. In such a manner, the device, when introduced within the properly shaped slot, permits separation of adjacent wood boards that are sequentially applied to the frame of the target edifice, as well as, ultimately, sufficient load bearing strength for the overall construction (such as a roof) within which such connected wood boards are utilized. The separation of wood boards thus permits proper sealing therebetween (with tape, sealant, or other like material) as well as proper distance for shrinking or swelling (due to moisture/temperature variations) to be taken into account during the lifetime of the edification (thereby permitting expansion as needed). The ability to impart increased load bearing strength thus allows for an increase in construction materials (in number and in weight) to be carried and kept on such a structure during construction as well. The method of manufacture of an edifice utilizing such load transfer devices between wood boards is also encompassed within this invention.

摘要: A digitally controlled oscillator includes an adjustable signal generating circuit adapted to generate an oscillation signal. A feedback loop receives the oscillation signal from the adjustable signal generating circuit. The feedback loop detects error in the oscillation signal and produces an error signal based on the error. The control logic circuit receives the error signal from the feedback loop and maintains the oscillation signal within a predetermined error range. Also, a state device that is connected to the adjustable signal generating circuit maintains a previous operating state of the adjustable signal generating circuit when the digitally controlled oscillator is temporarily powered down. When the digitally controlled oscillator is powered up after being temporarily powered down, the control logic starts the adjustable signal generating circuit at the previous operating state based upon data maintained within the state device, and restarts the feedback loop and error processing circuits in a way to avoid oscillator adjustments based on old data.

摘要: A variable-frequency digital ring oscillator provides small and consistent frequency adjustments throughout a locked range. The ring oscillator of the invention is standard cell placeable and operates at the technology limits to provide small and precise delay changes that is inexpensive to implement. The digital variable-frequency ring oscillator includes multiple macro delay elements forming an inverter ring circuit, each element having an individual macro delay unit that in turn is comprised of multiple adjustable delay units. All of these adjustable delay units are controlled by a single delay control signal.
