    摘要: An undercut anchor system designed for effecting a drill hole and enlarging a lowermost end thereof for insertion and setting of an anchor therein, which utilizes interlocked components surrounding a rod body which can be used as a setting tool in a one-step process to position a bore hole sleeve and an anchor in position within the bore hole. An anchor is positioned on the rod body below the bore sleeve. A cutting tip protrudes from a lower end of the rod body. The cutting tip portion has an operational cutting radius greater than a radius of the rod body. In this manner, an anchor can be inserted within the pre-drilled hole, and, when the anchor has been flanged outwardly by conventional means within the hole, the flange portions of the anchor will rest within the enlarged area, thus securely retaining the anchor in place.

A cap portion and an upper end of the stabilizer are threaded for permitting threaded engagement of the cap portion to the threaded upper portion of the stabilizer so as to prevent disengagement of the drill stop member from the stabilizer during a drilling process.

The stabilizer has a flanged portion extending into the hole, which provides a space between the bit and the stabilizer to permit limited tilting movement of the bit during drilling to enlarge a lowermost end of the hole, and for aiding in accurately inserting the bit into position.

    摘要: A medical pump with an improved continuity low flow delivery system and method for use with a pumping chamber, for example in a cassette, is disclosed. The pump includes a pump drive for exerting a force on the pumping chamber and a sensor for sensing the force/pressure exerted by the pump drive on the pumping chamber. The pump drive position sensor senses the position of the pump drive. The medical pump also includes a processing unit and a memory having a programming code adapted to calculate the rate of change of the sensed force/pressure values and determine whether the rate of change of the sensed force/pressure values meets a rate of change threshold. Once the rate of change threshold is met, the programming code is adapted to calculate a remaining pump drive travel value for determining how much farther the pump drive should travel before the end of an effective pump cycle. The programming code is further adapted to trigger one or more signals to drive the pump drive for the remainder of the effective pump cycle using the remaining pump drive travel value.

    摘要: A disposable cartridge for measuring the physical properties of blood is disclosed. A waste compartment supports a platform having first and second syringe fittings. First and second syringes containing blood samples to be measured are positioned within the fittings. At least one testing station is located on the platform for subjecting blood flowing from one of the syringes to a test station, and the testing station is connected at a second end to the waste compartment. Tests on blood running through each of the blood channels may be conducted by inducing various platelet activation conditions, such as piercing a channel, or putting a platelet activating substance within a test channel. The cartridge interfaces with a test stand which will measure pressure changes within each of the test channels.
