摘要: Apparatus and methods are provided to allow for creation of a cross-machine direction fold boundary, so that a laminate with a defined foldover can be created. A laid open two-ply material can then undergo processing operations such as addition of discrete disposable product components, or printing, and then be laid closed and sealed to form disposable products.

摘要: An electronic storage device is coupled with a container capable of holding liquid for electronically storing information relating to the liquid stored in the container. The system can be configured with an antenna, for storing information to and reading information from the electronic storage device. A microprocessor-based controller, coupled with the antenna, may be employed for controlling processing of the liquid based on information read from the electronic storage device by the antenna. A connector of a secure reader system having a reader is provided to physically couple to a container having an information storing mechanism, for periodically reading information from an information storing mechanism. The connector may draw material from the container simultaneous with the reading.

摘要: Apparatus and methods are provided to allow for cutting a stretchable first web into segments and securing the segments to a second web. The apparatus includes an infeed rate adjustment apparatus, a tension control device, a cutting apparatus, and means for securing the segments to the second web. The infeed rate adjustment apparatus is sized and configured to adjust the speed of the infeed of the first web to the cutting apparatus to space apart the segments.

摘要: A super absorbent distribution system for homogenous distribution throughout an absorbent core is disclosed. A super absorbent material is injected into a stream of absorbent fluff at an opposite direction to that of the stream of absorbent fluff. The super absorbent is blasted into the peak and outer surface of a cone shaped super absorbent barrier. The oncoming absorbent fluff also contends with a similarly shaped absorbent fluff barrier. The super absorbent material slows down as it hits the super absorbent barrier and oncoming fluff, then stops, then reverses direction and flows with the absorbent fluff as a homogenous distribution of super absorbent material and absorbent fluff. The combination of super absorbent material and absorbent fluff may encounter baffle members to further distribute the super absorbent material and absorbent fluff.

摘要: An improved microbial insecticide composition, and methods for the production and utilization thereof, are disclosed. The disclosed composition comprises a microbial insect pathogen of viral, bacterial, or fungal origin which is susceptible to sunlight-induced inactivation embedded in a coacervate microbead which is comprised of a nucleic acid, typically RNA, and a proteinaceous material, whereby the microbead structure itself effectively shields the agent from sunlight-induced inactivation. The microbead is typically stabilized by chemical crosslinking.
