摘要: A data processing system comprises a Flash memory (120) having a storage space partitioned in a plurality of storage pages (P′). Each storage page comprises a memory reliability indicator indicative for the reliability of a storage region of the memory. Coupled to the Flash memory is a controller (150) for the Flash memory, that includes a facility for protecting data against errors occurring during storage in the Flash memory and for detecting and/or correcting errors in the data stored in the data, when retrieved from the Flash memory. A data processing unit (100) is coupled to the controller (150) that has access to a working page (P) comprising a first section of user data and a second section of management information, including a memory reliability indicator. The data processing system is characterized by a data re-arranging facility (105) for subdividing the data in the work page into a plurality of portions. Each portion comprises a part of the user data, and the last portion additionally comprises the management information including the memory reliability indicator. The controller (150) is arranged to subsequently generate redundant data for each of those portions and to write the content of the subsequent portions with its respective redundant data to the storage page (122).

摘要: A system for optimizing RGB digital color images to print a high speed textile conveyed substrate using a series of modular single color specific ink jet print engines. The system mounts a rotary screen upstream and in operable combination with the ink jet print engines consequentially providing a broad array of printing modes and effects. Each print engine extracts print engine specific instructions from a server to provide a sequential cascade of printings to print the desired image. Internetworking extends operable control to remote client and expands RGB image archive to galleries of the World Wide Web. Present commercial rotary screen machines can be retrofitted to utilize the present system.

摘要: A system and method of routing both caller-paid and toll-free telephone calls includes a local exchange network and an interexchange network in communication with a call routing processor. The call routing processor receives status information on at least two call service centers and provides routing instructions to both the interexchange and local exchange networks. The method includes the steps of a call controller in a local exchange network communicating with a call routing processor also in communication with an interexchange network, the call controller identifying calls to call service centers and requesting instructions from the call routing processor.

摘要: A bedside-pharmacy system for the preparation and delivery of intravenous drugs. The system includes a liquid inlet for connection to a liquid supply, vial receptacles, and a liquid outlet for providing the intravenous drug in mixed, liquid form to the patient. The system may include a chamber having a variable volume, and a valve mechanism, which may be actuated to control flow between the liquid outlet, the variable-volume chamber, the vial receptacles and the liquid inlet. The system induces change in the volume of the variable-volume chamber and actuates the valve mechanism, so as to introduce liquid from the liquid inlet into the vials and reconstitute or dilute the drugs and so as to deliver the drugs to the patient. In a preferred embodiment, the liquid inlet, the vial receptacles, the variable-volume chamber, the liquid outlet and the valve mechanism (in other words, all components that come into contact with the liquid) are located in a disposable cassette, which may be received in a control unit. The system may include means for changing the chamber volume and actuating the valves so as to move the liquid repeatedly between a vial and the chamber. After the drug has been reconstituted, the system may cause the drug to be further diluted by providing an additional volume of liquid to be mixed with the drug. The system may further include a second chamber for delivery of the drug to the patient in precise quantities.

摘要: An air elimination system is provided for an intravenous fluid delivery system for intravenous injection of fluid into a patient. An air-detection apparatus 5 is disposed in an intravenous fluid line 3. At the top end of the line 3 is attached a chamber 1, 2, 12 where air may be separated from the fluid. The separation chamber may be a drip chamber 12, a metering chamber 2 or the intravenous supply 1. When air is detected, a valve 11 or valves 7, 9 are switched, so that the intravenous fluid is prevented from flowing to the patient, and so that, when a pump 4 is turned on, the fluid is pumped to the separation chamber 1, 2, 12. In a preferred embodiment, the volume of pump's fluid capacity is greater than the volume of the fluid capacity of the intravenous line 31 between the pump 4 and the separation chamber 1, 2, 12, so that the pump can force air back up the intravenous line all the way to the separation chamber.
