Abstract: An objective of the present disclosure is to provide an adsorption material that has a carrier material with retained physical strength, and efficiently adsorbs an immunosuppressive protein. The present disclosure provides an adsorption material for immunosuppressive protein. The adsorption material includes a water-insoluble carrier to which at least one nitrogen-containing compound selected from a polyamine represented by a predetermined formula and aliphatic amines represented by predetermined formulae is bound. A total content of amino groups on the water-insoluble carrier is more than 0 μmol and 2500 μmol or less per 1 g, and a content of primary amino groups on the water-insoluble carrier is 450 μmol or less per 1 g.

Abstract: Provided is a scissors-type medical treatment tool capable of not only local tissue fixation in an incision/cutting part but also heating on side surfaces of electrodes of a forceps/tweezers type. It has been found out that a tissue part in which tissue is nipped between blades and a tissue part which is brought into abutment against side surfaces of the blades can be heated simultaneously or sequentially by optimizing arrangement of microwave application electrodes and microwave receiver electrodes in a blade pair (in particular, by causing coagulation to be performed evenly on the left and right of the blades), and the present invention has therefore been achieved.

Abstract: A myocardial excitation complementation/visualization apparatus includes an acquiring section that acquires intracardiac electrocardiograms of a subject, the intracardiac electrocardiograms being recorded by a recording unit having a plurality of electrodes, a processing section that performs a computation for completing and visualizing a state of excitation in a myocardium of the subject based on the intracardiac electrocardiograms, and a displaying section that displays the state of excitation in the myocardium of the subject based on an output of the processing section. The processing section includes a first generating section, a correcting section, a second generating section, and a third generating section. The displaying section displays a change of the state of excitation in the myocardium of the subject based on the visualized data.

Abstract: Provided are a cell-holding substrate holder for preparing an observation specimen, and a cell-holding substrate kit, wherein the cell-holding substrate can be easily attached and detached. Also provided is a method of preparing an observation specimen, wherein cell organelles can be satisfactorily observed using an optical microscope, while three problems of cell detachment, drying, and loss of the three-dimensional properties can be simultaneously solved. The cell-holding substrate holder comprises (1) a support plate 1 having a cell-holding substrate arrangement portion 12 having a window portion through which water can pass; and (2) a removable sandwiching plate 2, 3 which has a window portion through which water can pass, and is capable of working in conjunction with the support plate 1 to sandwich and fix a cell-holding substrate 9 in the cell-holding substrate arrangement portion 12. The cell-holding substrate kit 10 comprises the cell-holding substrate holder and a cell-holding substrate 9. In the preparation method, cells are collected with an inorganic fiber aggregate, wet-fixed as they are, stained, and mounted with a mounting medium having a refractive index equivalent to that of the inorganic fiber.

Abstract: A bending and extending device 1 comprises an elastic hollow guide unit 2 and a movable part 3 to be movably inserted into the guide unit 2. The movable part 3 is constituted, either partially or entirely, of a plurality of belt-like flexible parts 30a and 30b, which extend in the axial direction of the guide unit 2 and the flexible parts 30a and 30b are connected at distal ends. The bending and extending device 1 is characterized in that, when, by the sliding operation of the flexible parts 30a and 30b, a cross-section in which a contact point T of the flexible part 30a and the inner surface of the guide unit 2 is present on an extending line Y extending from a line segment connecting the centroid P of the flexible part 30b and the axial center G of the guide unit 2 and in which the flexible part 30a and the second flexible part 30b are in contact with each other is generated, and when the cross-section is divided into two ranges by a predetermined straight line X, the centroid P of the flexible part 30b is not positioned in a range in which the contact point T is present; and the predetermined straight line X is a line that passes through the axial center G of the guide unit 2, and that orthogonally crosses the extending line Y.
