    摘要: A fan includes a hub and blades. A first edge of each blade is proximate an open end of the hub. A first rib is coupled to the hub and substantially aligned with a first plane intersecting the central axis and an intersection of the first edge of the first blade with the hub. The first plane is angularly spaced from a reference plane intersecting the central axis and an intersection of the first edge of the second blade with the hub. An angular spacing between the first plane and the reference plane defines one sector. A second rib is aligned with a second plane angularly positioned between the first plane and the reference plane at a location less than or equal to about (1/nR−0.05) sectors from the first plane, in which nR equals the number of ribs divided by the number of blades.

    摘要: A haemostatic valve assembly (18) is provided with a housing (24) having first and second ends (26, 28) within each of which there is provided an aperture of opening (30, 32). A flexible valve element (34) is disposed within the housing (24) between the first and second openings (30, 32). A mass of separate pellets (40) is located within the chamber (38) formed between the housing (24) and the valve element (34). The pellets (40) apply pressure to the valve element (34) so as to close the lumen (36) thereof. The pellets (40) are preferably made of a compressible material and such that when an element is inserted through the openings (30, 32) and thus through the valve assembly (18) the pellets (40) compress to allow opening of the lumen (36). The biasing force of the pellets (40) against the valve (34) provide constant sealing pressure to the valve assembly (18) without the need for any intervention by the clinician. The valve assembly is therefore entirely automatic.

    摘要: A portable spray apparatus (1) is provided to selectively discharge liquid spray medium and solid dust medium with a blower airflow (7) generated by a blower (6). An adaptor (8) is provided which has at least a channel section (9) of a liquids channel (10) for the liquid spray medium and a channel section (11) of a solids channel (12) for the solid dust medium. The adaptor (8) is releasably connected to a supply vessel (4). The liquids channel (10) and the solids channel (12) open into the blower airflow (7). Various built-in positions of the supply vessel (4) and of the adaptor (8) are freely selectable relative to each other and to the blower unit (3) by the operator. In one built-in position, the liquids channel (10) is connected via its channel section (9) to an interior space (13) of the supply vessel (4) and, in another built-in position, the solids channel (12) is connected to this interior space (13) via the channel section (11) thereof.
