Abstract:
An electronic device configured for retail display includes a persistent memory on which boot instructions are stored, a storage device on which security monitoring instructions are stored, and a processor configured to execute the boot instructions during a boot sequence to initiate execution of the security monitoring instructions. The processor is further configured, via the execution of the security monitoring instructions, to monitor the retail display of the electronic device for a security trigger event and, upon detection of the trigger event, lock a user interface of the electronic device.
Abstract:
An apparatus for securely displaying a product includes a cradle assembly including a base plate and a plurality of plates slidably engaged with the base plate, each plate of the plurality of plates including an arm to engage a respective side of the product, and a post supporting the cradle assembly, the post including first and second sections, one of the first and second sections being fixedly connected to the base plate. The first section includes a projection, and the second section includes a guide in which the projection is disposed to control rotation of the first and second sections relative to one another and re-orient the cradle assembly.
Abstract:
A method of monitoring a device on retail display includes receiving, by a processor of a server computer, a message from the device indicative of whether security instructions stored in a memory of the device are being executed on the device, determining, by the processor, whether time elapsed since the message was received exceeds a threshold, and, if the time elapsed exceeds the threshold, sending, by the processor, a command to automatically cause the device to enter into a locked state.
Abstract:
An apparatus, a system and a method secures, attaches and/or detaches a device to a fixture. A post with an interior secures a retractable reel. The retractable reel has a cable that attaches, connects and/or secures the device to the fixture. The cable extends from the retractable reel and/or extends through the post. A head unit attaches to the device and has a fastening mechanism for connecting and/or for disconnecting the cable to the device. The post has a recession for receiving a head unit and/or for aligning the head unit and/or the device. A fastener and/or an adhesive connects, secures and/or attaches the device to the head unit. A key disconnects the cable from the head unit.
Abstract:
A method of registering a security sensor device with a product device to be protected via the security sensor device includes obtaining sensor identification data for the security sensor device, the sensor identification data being indicative of the security sensor device, obtaining product identification data for the product device, the product identification data being indicative of the product device, and generating registration data for the security sensor device and the product device, the registration data associating the security sensor device and the product device.
Abstract:
An apparatus, a system and/or a method provide an alarm, power and/or use of an electrical device. A dongle, a sensor, a cable, and/or an alarm may implement capacitive sensing technology to deter theft and/or a removal of the electronic device from an electrical connection. The electronic device may be on display and/or may be used, manipulated, tested and/or transported by users in an environment, such as a retail store. The sensor may incorporate an alarm that may enable a signal when the electronic device is unplugged therefrom.
Abstract:
A system and a method provide a coating on an interior surface of a tire. A valve connects to the interior of the tire. The method connects a source of coating material to the valve, propels the coating material through the valve, and applies the coating material to the interior of the tire. The system has a source of a coating material connected to the valve. A propellant causes delivery of the coating material through the valve into the tire. Another method coats an interior of a tire mounted on a rim. The method connects a first end of a tube to a source of coating material and inserts the second end of the tube into the interior of the tire encircling the rim. The coating material moves through the tube into the tire. The tube is withdrawn from the tire moving along the interior circumference of the tire.
Abstract:
An apparatus, a system and a method monitor a device within a zone. A head may wirelessly communicate with an emitter and a hub. The device may be secured to the head. The emitter may transmit a signal to define the zone, and the head may receive the signal to detect the presence of the device and the head within the zone. A first alarm may be triggered upon removal of the head and the device from the zone. A second alarm may be triggered upon removal of the head and the device from the zone for a time that exceeds a threshold of time. A key may insert into the hub to deactivate the second alarm.

Abstract:
A security device for a retail store display and method of use. The security device includes a securing element moveable, relative the retail store surface, from a first position to a second position to allow customer access to a product. An electromagnetic or electromagnetic lock is configured to lock the securing element in the first position, to further limit the customer access afforded by the securing element. The lockdown provided by the secondary lockdown mechanism can be used for additional protection during times of need, such as after hours or if employees are not on the sales floor.
