    摘要: Provided is a control apparatus for an internal combustion engine, which can introduce external EGR gas during a cold condition, while favorably suppressing an occurrence of condensed water from the EGR gas.A twin entry type turbo supercharger (18) is provided. A first exhaust passage (14a) through which first exhaust gas exhausted from a first cylinder group (#2 and #3) and a second exhaust passage (14b) through which second exhaust gas exhausted from a second cylinder group (#1 and #4) are provided. A sub cooling system including a sub cooling passage (32) for cooling the first exhaust passage (14a) is provided. A main cooling system including a main cooling passage (30) for cooling the second exhaust passage (14b) is provided. An EGR passage (24) connected between the first exhaust passage (14a) and an intake passage (12), and an EGR valve (26) playing a role in opening and closing the EGR passage (24) are provided. The circulation of sub cooling water in the sub cooling system is stopped when EGR gas is introduced into the intake passage (12) during the cold condition.

    摘要: The present invention has an object to make abnormal combustion of an internal combustion engine detectable by simple means at low cost. For this purpose, an abnormal combustion detecting device provided by the present invention uses a direct injection injector as means for detecting abnormal combustion. In the direct injection injector relating to the abnormal combustion detecting device, a sack chamber is provided at a tip end of a nozzle body, and a nozzle hole is formed to cause the sack chamber and a combustion chamber to communicate with each other. A needle is housed inside the nozzle body, and the sack chamber is opened and closed by the needle, whereby a fuel is directly injected into the combustion chamber. The abnormal combustion detecting device detects lift of the needle from a closing position by, for example, a sensor, and determines that abnormal combustion occurs in the combustion chamber by the fact that lift of the needle is detected at a non-operational time of the direct injection injector.

An EGR gas can be made to flow separately through one path via one EGR passage and an other path via another EGR passage. The EGR gas flow through the other path can be cooled by an intercooler. Since the intercooler usually has a capacity larger than that of an EGR cooler, its cooling capability is high, and the EGR gas can be made to flow into a surge tank in a state where heat of the EGR gas has been sufficiently emitted.

The abnormal combustion determining apparatus for the internal combustion engine that includes a plurality of cylinders detects, for each cylinder, a cylinder in which abnormal combustion has occurred. The cylinder in which the abnormal combustion has occurred, and a history of load applied during an operation are stored in memory. It is determined whether or not the cylinder in which the abnormal combustion has occurred and which is stored in memory, is a specific cylinder. It is determined whether or not load present in the history stored in memory and used prior to the occurrence of the abnormal combustion is higher than a threshold value. Based on a combination of a decision made by the cylinder determining means and a decision made by the load determining means, a major factor causing the oil to flow into the cylinder is identified from among relations established for factors of oil flowing into the cylinder according to the combination of these decisions made.
