摘要： A light source device capable of suppressing generation of color unevenness, and a display device using the same are provided. The light source device 1 is provided with a plurality of excitation light sources 11 which are arranged at prescribed intervals D on a substrate 10 and emit blue light, and a phosphor layer 12 which converts part of the blue light emitted from the excitation light sources into red light and green light and arranged at a distance from the excitation light sources 11 to oppose the substrate 10. Fluctuation of intensity of each color light due to nonuniform application of the phosphor layer is difficult to occur as compared with a configuration in the past where the phosphor layer is formed adjacent to each excitation light source.

摘要： A display apparatus includes a display unit having a display screen divided into a plurality of regions and controlled using an aperture ratio on a pixel-by-pixel basis, a backlight including a plurality of sets of light sources, each set being disposed so as to correspond to one of the regions, and a control unit for detecting display luminance in each region, computing the emission luminance of each light source on the basis of the detected display luminance while taking into account an effect on the region of the other light sources not corresponding to the region, and computing a correction value for each pixel on the basis of a shift amount between the set emission luminance and an optimal display luminance for one of the regions, and delivering a display driving signal generated on the basis of the correction value to each pixel so as to control the aperture ratio.

摘要： An image pickup apparatus includes a light-beam splitting mirror configured to transmit and reflect incident light that has entered the light-beam splitting mirror through a photographing optical system; an image sensor that receives light transmitted through the light-beam splitting mirror; an autofocus detecting unit that receives light reflected by the light-beam splitting mirror; a signal processing unit configured to process an image pickup signal of the image sensor; and a display unit configured to display an image being photographed, on the basis of an image signal obtained at the signal processing unit. In the image pickup apparatus, the light-beam splitting mirror has spectral characteristics including a reflectivity of 25% or more and 35% or less at a wavelength of 400 to 650 nm and a reflectivity of 60% or more at a wavelength of about 700 nm through optimization.

摘要： An apparatus for processing digital data signals which may be used in recording/reproducing and transmitting/receiving of such signals. During recording or transmission, error correction codes are added to the digital signals and a portion of such error correction codes is replaced with other information. Such other information may provide an indication as whether the digital signals are original signals or a copy thereof. During reproduction or reception, the other information is extracted and utilized in a predetermined manner. For example, reproduced digital signals may or may not be outputted depending on whether the extracted information indicates that the digital signals are original signals or a copy thereof. As a result, unauthorized copying of signals may be discouraged or prevented. Furthermore, by replacing a portion of the error correction code with the other information, storage capacity for the digital signals and/or the rate for processing such signals may not be adversely effected.
