Abstract:
An apparatus to prevent smart cards from being read illegally is provided, wherein the apparatus is installed in a smart card reader comprises a CPU and a socket with a plurality of fingers, and the apparatus comprises: an electric circuits board (ECB), an inner circuit and a supplementary circuit. The ECB is disposed to cover the fingers and wired with an inner circuit electrically connected to a power supply. The supplementary circuit has an input terminal and an output terminal, wherein the input terminal is electrically connected to the power supply through the inner circuit of the ECB, and the output terminal is electrically connected to the CPU of the smart card reader; when the inner circuit is interrupted, an alarm signal is outputted by the supplementary circuit to the CPU to terminate the reading of the smart card by the smart card reader.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses an input equipment with a sensed movement feedback, which comprises a pressure sensor pad having a through hole at the center, a rolling ball disposed in the through hole with part of the rolling ball exposed and protruded therefrom, and at least one driver contacting with the surface of the rolling ball. The sensor pad will produce a signal according to a pressing force exerting thereon and transmit the signal to a control circuit of the input equipment, enabling the control circuit to produce a rolling signal for activating the driver to move the rolling ball in a direction proportion to the pressing force. Thus, the user can sense the direction and speed of the cursor movement on the screen from sensing the rolling movement of the rolling ball.
Abstract:
A communication device with a short message filter mechanism. The communication device comprises an incoming phone number filter module for acquiring the number of digits in an incoming phone number accompanying a short message received by the communication device and, if the number of digits in the incoming phone number is less than a preset value, deleting the short message, and a keyword filter module for determining whether the short message contains a specific keyword and, if so, deleting the short message.
Abstract:
This invention discloses a method of performing an authentication on an identity module card by an electronic communication device through installing an identification software provided by a telecommunication service provider into an electronic communication device to identify whether a subscriber identity module card is installed therein, and request a user to input an authentication data provided by the telecommunication service provider into the electronic communication device for enabling the electronic communication device to execute the booting procedure for communicating with others through the telecommunication service provider.

Abstract:
The present invention is to provide a method of automatically enabling or disabling backlight of an electronic device based on a predetermined time, which is implemented in the electronic device including a memory having an established backlight control database containing a predetermined enabled and disabled time of backlight respectively. In response to a user pressing a key of the keypad as determined by the electronic device, the electronic device is able to automatically read and inquire the predetermined enabled or disabled time of backlight, and activate or deactivate the keypad backlight immediately when a predetermined condition (i.e., the predetermined enabled or disabled time of backlight) has been reached.

Abstract:
An over-current alerting circuit used in a hand held device includes a current sensor module, a photo sensor module and an alerting module. The current sensor module is used for sensing a loading current of the hand held device and outputting a photo signal according to the intensity of the loading current. The photo sensor module is used for generating a driving signal when the intensity of the photo signal is higher than a predetermined intensity. The alerting module is used for performing an alerting action after the driving signal is received. In addition, an over-current alerting method is also disclosed herein.
Abstract:
This invention discloses a method of protecting copyright of a digital video work by using a digital password technology and a digital watermark technology to prevent the unauthorized use of a digital video work. Such method adds password protection of two chrominance arrays of such video work in advance, so that when such video work is published on the Internet, it can only be played in color by a specified player. As long as a user enters the correct password into the specified player, a full color visual effect of such video work can be obtained. If other players are used to play such video work, only a partial gray-scale visual effect can be obtained. Users must request or buy a specific player and a password from the distributor of such video work to play the complete information to prevent piracy.
Abstract:
Computer network information systems, query systems and methods thereof to query a web address. The computer network information system comprises a client computer, a first host, a second host, and a plurality of remote devices coupled to the first host. The client computer transmits a query signal to the first host. The first host converts the query signal to a query code for transmission. The second host comprises a database, and comprises an update module for continuously updating the database. The second host receives the query code, and performs a match procedure to retrieve at least web address data. Respective remote devices include a website database providing website data, thereby providing more website data to the first host, and increasing query efficiency.
