    摘要: A display controller including a first ROM, a second ROM, a RAM, and an output circuit. The first ROM stores fixed data to be displayed on a fixed data area of a display screen. The RAM stores variable data to be displayed on a variable data area of the display screen and receives controlling addresses from the first ROM. The second ROM, under control of data from a preselected one of the first ROM or the RAM, outputs the display pattern data to be displayed on the display device. The output circuit latches the display pattern data and sends it to the display device at a predetermined timing.

    摘要: An industrially applicable process for producing cis-3-hydroxy-L-proline, which is useful as a raw material for medicines or as an additive to foods. In the process, L-proline is converted into cis-3-hydroxy-L-proline in the presence of an enzyme source which is derived from a microorganism belonging to the genus Streptomyces or Bacillus and which catalyzes hydroxylation of L-proline into cis-3-hydroxy-L-proline, a divalent iron ion and 2-ketoglutaric acid, in an aqueous medium, and the produced cis-3-hydroxy-L-proline is collected from the aqueous medium. A novel enzyme L-proline-3-hydroxylase, a gene of L-proline-3-hydroxylase which is useful for the process, a transformant containing the gene, and a process for producing L-proline-3-hydroxylase using the transformant.

    摘要: According to one embodiment, there is provided a method for determining whether a defect on a disk in an apparatus includes head is a recess or a protrusion. The method detects a first defect on the disk using a read element provided in the head. The method detects a second defect on the disk using a head disk interference sensor provided in the head. The method further determines whether a third defect is a recessed defect or a protruding defect based on a ratio between a first width of the first defect in a radial direction on the disk and a second width of the second defect in the radial direction of the disk. The third defect is identified based on the first defect and the second defect.
