    摘要: A display controller including a first ROM, a second ROM, a RAM, and an output circuit. The first ROM stores fixed data to be displayed on a fixed data area of a display screen. The RAM stores variable data to be displayed on a variable data area of the display screen and receives controlling addresses from the first ROM. The second ROM, under control of data from a preselected one of the first ROM or the RAM, outputs the display pattern data to be displayed on the display device. The output circuit latches the display pattern data and sends it to the display device at a predetermined timing.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a process for producing trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline, which is useful as a raw material for medicines or as an additive to foods. In the process, L-proline is converted into trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline in the presence of an enzyme source which is derived from a microorganism belonging to the genus Dactylosporangium, Amycolatopsis or Streptomyces and which catalyzes the hydroxylation of L-proline into trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline, a divalent iron ion and 2-ketoglutaric acid, in an aqueous medium, and the produced trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline is collected from the aqueous medium. In addition, the present invention is directed to a process for producing trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline, wherein the L-proline biosynthesis activity of the host cell of the transformant is reinforced.

The method detects a first defect on the disk using a read element provided in the head. The method detects a second defect on the disk using a head disk interference sensor provided in the head. The method further determines whether a third defect is a recessed defect or a protruding defect based on a ratio between a first width of the first defect in a radial direction on the disk and a second width of the second defect in the radial direction of the disk. The third defect is identified based on the first defect and the second defect.

    摘要: According to one embodiment, a magnetic storage apparatus configured to write data to and read data from a magnetic medium with a head includes a setting module, a write module, a read module, and a quality measurement module. The setting module sets a plurality of sections divided in the track direction of the magnetic medium and a predetermined reference path along the track direction, and also sets at least one offset for each of the sections such that the offset is different between adjacent sections. The offset is the position of the head with respect to the reference path. The write module writes a first data pattern to the offset set by the setting module and writes a second data pattern to the reference path a predetermined number of times. The read module reads the first data pattern written by the write module. The quality measurement module measures the quality of the first data pattern read by the read module.
