摘要: The present invention is a wind dam and vertical turbine system set on a ground surface that captures and directs wind to generate electricity. The system has a wind dam portion with a front opening, an airfoil above the front opening and a vertical turbine portion with a housing disposed on the dam portion's back side with a turbine slide door and actuator. There are also front outriggers with front wheels that are horizontally aligned to the front opening and back outriggers with drive wheels that are horizontally and movably aligned to each end of the back side of the dam portion. There is also a power drive assembly for the vertical turbine and exhaust doors and actuators to expel excessive wind.

摘要: A vehicle includes an engine that generates drive torque and a power transfer device that selectively transfers the drive torque to a driveline. The power transfer device includes an input shaft, an output shaft and a torque biasing system. The torque biasing system has a clutch pack and an actuator that regulates engagement of the clutch pack. An on-demand lubrication system supplies a lubricating fluid flow through the clutch pack based on a control signal generated by a control system. A passively actuated positive displacement pump supplies the lubricating fluid flow through the clutch pack based on a speed differential between the input shaft and the output shaft.

摘要: A drive axle assembly includes first and second axleshafts and a drive mechanism coupling a driven input shaft to the axleshafts. The drive mechanism includes a differential assembly, a planetary gear assembly operably disposed between the differential assembly and the first axleshafts, a transfer clutch and first and second brakes. The first brake is operable with the transfer clutch and the planetary gear assembly to increase the rotary speed of the first axleshaft which, in turn, causes a corresponding decrease in the rotary speed of the second axleshaft. The second brake is operable with the transfer clutch and the planetary gear assembly to decrease the rotary speed of the first axleshaft so as to cause an increase in the rotary speed of the second axleshaft. A control system controls actuation of both brakes and the transfer clutch.
