As a solution, the apparatus generates, on a steering wheel 1 of a vehicle, a pulse-like torque in a shape and, or frequency that does not affect the vehicle dynamics. Since such a frequency input can be haptically perceived by a human with ease, it is possible to make the driver notice the operation carried out by the apparatus without generating a yaw moment on the vehicle.
