At least one of the metallic layers is a discontinuous metallic layer having discontinuous metallic regions. An optional primer is positioned over any one of the metallic layers. Optionally a protective layer is provided as the outer most layer over the fifth dielectric layer.

摘要: An electrochromic article includes a first substrate having a first surface and an opposite second surface and a second substrate having a third surface and an opposite fourth surface separated from the first substrate. A second electrode is positioned over at least a portion of the third surface of the second substrate. A sealant material is positioned between the first electrode and second electrode. An electrochromic composition is positioned in direct contact with at least a portion of the first electrode and at least a portion of the second electrode. The sealant material is formed from an organic polymer material having an oxygen transmission rate (OTR) of less than or equal to 2 cc/m2·day·atm.

摘要: A coating provides a high solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) and a low overall heat transfer coefficient (U-value) to trap and retain solar heat. The coating and coated article are particularly useful for use in architectural transparencies in northern climates. The coating includes a first dielectric layer; a continuous metallic layer formed over at least a portion of the first dielectric layer, the metallic layer having a thickness less than 8 nm; a primer layer formed over at least a portion of the metallic layer; a second dielectric layer formed over at least a portion of the primer layer; and an overcoat formed over at least a portion of the second dielectric layer. When used on a No. 3 surface of a reference IGU, the coating provides a SHGC of greater than or equal to 0.6 and a U-value of less than or equal to 0.35.

摘要: The present invention provides a glass sheet having soda-lime-silica glass composition with a high visible light transmittance (LtC) of at least 89% with a dominant wavelength (DW) from about 490 to 505 nanometers and purity (Pe) of no more than 1% for control thickness of 5.66 mm and methods of making the same. The glass composition comprising a low iron raw material, a total iron oxide (Fe2O3) of 0.02 to 0.06 wt. %, ferrous (FeO) from 0.006 to 0.02 wt. %, redox (FeO/Fe2O3) from about 0.30 to 0.55, Cr2O3 from about 0.3 to 10 ppm, TiO2 from about 50 to 500 ppm, SnO2 from about 10 to 500 ppm, and a critical amount from about 0.10 to 0.25 wt. % of SO3. The low content of iron oxide is achieved by the partial substitution of regular raw materials by low iron raw materials, with a complete substitution of regular dolomite by a low iron dolomite with a maximum content of 0.020 wt. % Fe2O3.
