    摘要: A tool for extracting a pin from a substrate comprises a first lever arm with a body part having a cavity in which the free end of a pin can be received, and a second lever arm which can pivot relative to the first lever arm. A jaw component is provided within the body part which can be actuated from an unlocked position in which a pin within the jaw component can slide freely past the jaw component, and a locked position in which the pin is gripped by engagement of the jaw component with the side wall of the pin, and a support is provided which can slide relative to the body part, in a direction towards the substrate from which the pin is to be extracted. Initial movement of the first lever arm relative to the second lever arm causes the jaw component to be actuated from its unlocked position to its locked position so that an inserted pin is gripped by the jaw component. Continued movement of the first lever arm relative to the second lever arm causes the support to slide relative to the body part, so that an inserted pin which is gripped by the jaw component is displaced relative to the substrate.

The method may further include obtaining a plurality of fragmentation mass spectra from the plurality of peptide fragments for each of the plurality of discrete collision energies, summing the plurality of fragmentation mass spectra from each of the plurality of discrete collision energies to form a plurality of discrete collision energy mass spectra, one discrete collision energy mass spectra from each discrete collision energy, summing the plurality of discrete collision energy mass spectra to form a final mass spectrum for the peptide fragments, and identifying a sequence of amino acids corresponding to the peptide from the final mass spectrum.

    摘要: A hollow fan blade for a gas turbine engine provides improved resistance to buckling without adding wall thickness. The hollow fan blade includes a pressure side wall and a suction side wall separated and supported by ribs. In the present invention, each wall segment between each adjacent pair of ribs is straight, not curved. At least some of the adjacent walls segments extend at non-parallel angles relative to one another to form the airfoil shape to the hollow fan blade. The resulting fan blade side walls have faceted surfaces, rather than a continuous smooth, curved surface. The straight wall segments between adjacent ribs can withstand higher compressive forces without buckling. As a result, the wall thickness can be reduced.

    摘要: Hollow fan blades for turbo fan gas turbine engines are formed of two separate detail halves. Each detail half has a plurality of cavities machined out to reduce weight and form ribs. The ribs extend continuously and without intersecting one another in order to facilitate machining. The ribs extend in different directions in different regions of the detail half. In at least one region, the ribs extend in a serpentine pattern, such that concatenated rib segments are substantially perpendicular to one another, thereby providing stiffness in multiple directions.

    摘要: The present invention allows market participants to exchange bundles of assets, including assets in different asset classes. A market participant may value the bundle as an entity, alleviating the need to attempt to attain a value objective in the aggregate by valuing and trading assets individually. A bundle of assets to be traded is entered, wherein proportions of each asset to be traded in units of a specified bundle size are provided by the market participant. Assets to be acquired by one market participant are matched against the same asset which other market participants are seeking to dispose. A market participant may enter multiple bundles, and may specify substitutability among bundles by entering one or more portfolio constraints. An exchange of bundled assets among market participants, in units of the bundles themselves is effected when the exchange satisfies a predetermined set of criteria.
