摘要： Apparatus for the production of rubber sheets such as tire treads having a surface design in which the rubber in the form of a continuous rubber strip is at least partially cured in a mold. A continuous strip may be cured throughout while held under pressure in design recesses in a mold by radiation curing or may be partially heat-cured throughout and the cure completed by radiation after removal from the mold.

摘要： The repair of a reinforced elastomer article having a hollow therein relates to utilizing an amine curable polymer or prepolymer and a cured elastomer patch. The hollow in the elastomer, which can extend either partially or completely through the article, is filled with a gum rubber which is thereafter cured by conventional means, such as with spotters. The area beneath the now filled hollow is coated with a treating agent, followed by the amine curable polymer or prepolymer and a cured patch. The polymer is then cured at room temperature. One area of use is in the repair of tires.

摘要： A low shear method of adequately dispersing carbon black in liquid elastomers by adding the liquid elastomers to a container, adding from 30 parts to about 160 parts by weight per 100 parts of liquid elastomer of an oil beaded carbon black containing from 5 to about 60 parts of oil and from 25 to about 100 parts of carbon black and mixing the compounds to produce a relatively low viscosity carbon black dispersed elastomeric composition.
