摘要: A method for assigning tasks for processing received from one or several client data processing nodes within a group of at least two server data processing nodes to one of the server data processing nodes, as well as a server data processing system, a client data processing node and a machine-readable storage medium for carrying out this process. A client data processing node that has a task to assign, first selects the server data processing node from the group that is the next server data processing node to be selected based on a predefined cyclical order. If the server data processing node that is selected first denies the processing of the task, the client data processing node randomly selects a different server data processing node for processing the task. Otherwise, the client data processing node assigns the task to the selected server data processing node.

摘要: The invention concerns a method of establishing a multichannel connection comprising N channels, two switching facilities, a communications network, and a transmit-side and a receive-side access facility to a communications network. When a multichannel connection (SLOT3, SLOT7; SLOT5, SLOT28) is established through a switching network (DSN), first the transit times (T1, T2, T3) of more than N channels through the switching network (DSN) are determined (MONIT). Then N channels are selected from said more than N channels by means of an algorithm (CONTR), which uses the determined transit times (T1, T2, T3) as input values. Subsequently the selected N channels are assigned as channels to the multichannel connection (SLOT3, SLOT7; SLOT5, SLOT28), and for their synchronization the channels are delayed in accordance with the determined transit times (T1, T2, T3). This method is also applicable to end-to-end multichannel connections and single channel connections.

摘要: A device is provided for the optical detection of form errors of a low order, for example of roughness. The device possesses a light source whose light probes the body to be examined and a light-receiving device for the light reflected by the body. The device is characterized by the fact that the light-receiving device consists of a number of light-receiving elements arranged in linear array and that an evaluation unit determines the inclination angle of the probed surface element of the body from all output signals of the light-receiving elements. Shifts in the core of the reflected light beam can be measured which are substantially below the width of a light-receiving element. The measuring results remain practically unaffected by form deviations of a higher order such as roughness etc.
