Abstract:
A power cord integrated hanger system for suspending a lighting fixture has a flexible load bearing inner suspension part and a flexible non-load bearing outer conductor part that acts as the “power cord” for the suspended lighting fixture. The flexible outer conductor part has an internal passageway for the inner suspension part. An outer cover of the outer conductor part holds electrical conductors in place in the outer conductor part and preferably conceals the conductors from view. The outer cover of the conductor part can be provided with different aesthetic qualities to enhance the visual appearance of the hanger system.
Abstract:
A process for manufacturing a compound of Formula (I) which has cis-conformation and wherein R1 represents a 1-phenyl-C1-C4alkyl or 1-naphthyl-C1-C4alkyl group, wherein the phenyl or naphthyl moiety of R1 is unsubstituted or substituted with one or more C1-C4alkoxy groups and the carbon atoms in 2-, 3-, and/or 4-position of the alkyl part of R1 are, independently of the phenyl or naphthyl moiety of R1 and independently of one another, unsubstituted or substituted with C1-C4alkoxy and/or silyloxy or, preferably, are unsubstituted or substituted with one C1-C4alkoxy group and/or silyloxy group per carbon atom, and R2 represents a C1-C6alkyl group or an unsubstituted or substituted benzyl group, in which process a compound of Formula (II) wherein R3 represents a C1-C6alkyl group or an unsubstituted or substituted benzyl group, and R1 and R2 have the same meaning as in formula (I); is treated with a base at a temperature of 0° C. or less in a liquid aprotic solvent for a time period sufficient to obtain the compound of formula (I).

Abstract:
A plastic injection mold for molding a plastic article includes an upper insert and a lower insert. The upper insert and the lower insert match with each other to define an annular mold cavity therebetween. An annular gate communicates with the mold cavity for allowing molten plastic material to flow into the mold cavity to mold the article. An annular runner is connected with the annular gate for injecting molten plastic material to the annular gate. Molten plastic material will evenly flow into the mold cavity of the plastic injection mold through the annular gate to mold the plastic article, which prevents the plastic article from being disfigured, decreasing the defective products and improving the product quality.
Abstract:
A mold apparatus includes a core having a mold cavity for molding an article and a gate for allowing molten plastics to flow into the mold cavity therefrom. An ejector pin is arranged with a distal end thereof facing and adjacent to the gate. The ejector pin is movable with respect to the gate for making the distal end thereof close the gate or depart from the gate. The mold apparatus is capable of automatically separating redundant parts from an article without burrs.
Abstract:
A magnetic resonance system is disclosed. The system includes a transceiver having a multichannel receiver and a multichannel transmitter, where each channel of the transmitter is configured for independent selection of frequency, phase, time, space, and magnitude, and each channel of the receiver is configured for independent selection of space, time, frequency, phase and gain. The system also includes a magnetic resonance coil having a plurality of current elements, with each element coupled in one to one relation with a channel of the receiver and a channel of the transmitter. The system further includes a processor coupled to the transceiver, such that the processor is configured to execute instructions to control a current in each element and to perform a non-linear algorithm to shim the coil.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a directionless and colorless reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexer (ROADM) for a number of clients comprising: an add/drop interface for optical signals of at least one optical network, wherein each received optical signal is split by at least one optical splitter into optical signals which are applied to a downstream cross connector distributing the split optical signals to wavelength selectors of different clients, wherein each wavelength selector performs a wavelength selection of at least one wavelength from the distributed optical signals, wherein an optical signal having a selected wavelength (λ) is applied to a client transponder of a client.
Abstract:
A control system includes first and second clutches of a transmission and a control module. Each of the first and second clutches includes an on state and an off state. The control module cycles the first clutch between the on state and the off state using a stepped command signal while the second clutch is maintained in the on state. The control module monitors an output parameter of the transmission that is based on the stepped command signal. The control module controls the transmission based on the output parameter.
