摘要: The present invention relates to a lamp lighting technique for lighting multiple lamps safely without luminance irregularities. The present lamp lighting circuit includes multiple closed loops wherein a predetermined number of lamps and the secondary windings of the predetermined number of transformers are connected serially. At least one of the primary windings of the transformers employed for each closed loop is connected to the primary winding of the transformer employed for another closed loop serially. Thus, current of the lamps included in the closed loop is made uniform, and also current is made uniform even between the closed loops by connecting the primary windings of the transformers serially. According to the present invention, with regard to serial connection of the primary windings of the transformers, even if the number of transformers is limited, current uniformity can be propagated to the entirety by subjecting closed loops to catenation consecutively.

摘要: In a color image sensor, CCD chips having peculiar spectrum distribution characteristics are arranged in two rows on a base with the CCD chips in one row staggered with respect to those in the other row. A pair of convergent rod lens arrays is located between a color document and the array of CCD chips for projecting an image of the document onto the CCD element array. The CCD elements each having a plurality of photosensitive areas with white, yellow and cyan filters, or yellow, green and cyan filters, or red, green and blue filters, provided thereon. A pair of fluorescent lamps for illuminating the document is each provided in the neighborhood of each of the pair rod lens arrays. They have spectrum distribution characteristics not covering wavelengths above 700 nm. One of them has a spectrum distribution characteristic with a peak substantially at 450 nm, and the other has a spectrum distribution characteristic with a peak substantially at 590 nm. The composite spectrum distribution characteristic of the two lamps has peaks substantially at 480 nm and 590 nm, and has no wavelengths above 700 nm.

摘要: Provided is a pedal force sensor which, in pedal force detection utilizing an elastic body, can detect pedal force over a wide range and reduce detection errors originating from variation in the attachment position or length etc. of the elastic body. Linkage between a drive wheel (30) that is fixed to a crankshaft (14) and a sprocket (50) that transmits rotary force of the crankshaft (14) to a propelling vehicle wheel is effected by a plurality of springs (80 to 90), and furthermore the space between each spring (80 to 90) and compression means thereof is set in such a way that the compression commencement timings of the plurality of springs (80 to 90) are offset. When detecting pedal force from the phase difference of the drive wheel (30) and the sprocket (50), the number of springs that are utilized changes in accordance with the range of the phase difference. In other words, since the spring constant that is utilised differs in accordance with the range of the phase difference, the pedal force can be detected on the basis of this changing spring constant. As a result, the relationship between the amount of displacement and the pedal force is made to be nonlinear, and a pedal force sensor is thereby obtained that approximates the desired detection characteristics.

摘要: An ink jet printing apparatus, in which the ink having colorants distributed in a solvent is supplied over the electrode array on the surface of the head substrate such that the electrode array is completely covered by the ink, while voltages are applied to the electrode array to produce an electric field for exerting an electrostatic force on the colorants in the ink such that the colorants are compressed and ejected toward a recording medium. Each individual electrode constituting the electrode array can have a tip end portion projecting from the surface of the head substrate. The apparatus also has an element for compressing colorants distributed in a solvent of an ink and an element for ejecting the compressed colorants toward a recording medium which are provided separately. In addition, the apparatus can incorporate an element for conveying colorants in the ink through the ink supply passage toward the colorant ejection point on the electrode array.
