    摘要: An apparatus for monitoring one or more than one biological parameter is provided. The apparatus comprises two or more than two layers, each layer comprising a flexible substrate, the two or more than two layers comprising two or more than two sensors for sensing the one or more than one biological parameter; a signal conditioning module in communication with one or more than one of the two or more than two sensors; a signal processor in communication with the signal conditioning module and producing a processed signal; a communication module in communication with the signal processor and transmitting the processed signal to a storage module, a display device, a host processing system, or a combination thereof; and a power module to provide power to the two or more than two sensors, the signal conditioning module, the signal processor, and the communication module.

    摘要: A light emitting/charge storage device is disclosed. The light emitting/charge storage device includes an organic light emitting diode (OLED) portion and at least one charge storage portion electrically and physically connected therewith. The OLED portion includes a first anode layer, a first cathode layer, and an electroluminescent layer disposed at least partially between the first anode layer and the first cathode layer. The at least one charge storage portion includes a second anode layer, a second cathode layer, and an ionic polymer dielectric layer disposed at least partially between the second anode layer and the second cathode layer, and/or a thin film battery layer. A light emitting/charge storage system is also disclosed. Certain embodiments of the device and system of the invention may provide integrated illumination and charge storage in a unitary stacked layered structure with flexible mechanical characteristics.

    摘要: Methods of fabricating nano-structures on a substrate surface are provided including the use of small initial pilot nano-structures patterned in a writing layer which are enlarged upon transfer to a pattern transfer layer among process layers applied to the substrate material, before removal of the writing layer to reveal the enlarged nano-structures. Enlarged nano-structures are transferred to the substrate by etch techniques to produce desired final enlarged nano-structures in the substrate surface. Raised out of plane and etched-in-plane nano-structures may be produced. Multiple geometries, configurations and spacings of 2D (such as in-plane nano-structures) and/or 3D (such as out of plane nano-structures) nano-structures and/or grids or arrays thereof may be fabricated on a surface of a substrate according to a single fabrication process.
