    摘要: An object recognition apparatus in a subject vehicle includes a radar unit for transmitting a plurality of laser beams in a scan range spread in horizontal and vertical directions of the subject vehicle and receiving a reflection, a recognition unit for recognizing the object in front of the subject vehicle based on the reflection, a determination sub-unit in the radar unit, a calculation sub-unit in the radar unit; and an adjustment sub-unit in the radar unit. The radar unit is so disposed in the subject vehicle with a center axis of one of the plurality of the laser beams aligned with a target angle that the determination sub-unit uses coverage in the vertical direction of the laser beam being sufficient for variation of heights of the reflector on the object at a first distance detected by the radar unit as the predetermined condition for selecting of the object.

    摘要: In an object recognition apparatus for a vehicle which uses intensities of reflected waves from reflecting objects to make a recognition on whether a reflecting object is a vehicle or a non-vehicle, a plurality of transmission waves are emitted to receive a plurality of reflected waves from the reflecting objects, and a decision is made as to whether or not the reflecting object producing the plurality of reflected waves is a unitary reflecting object. If the decision shows a unitary reflecting object, the highest intensity of intensities of the reflected waves from the unitary reflecting object is compared with a reference intensity to makes a decision on whether the reflecting object is a vehicle or a non-vehicle. This enables univocally making a decision for each unitary reflecting object as to whether the reflecting object is more likely to be a vehicle or to be a non-vehicle, thus improving the recognition accuracy.

    摘要: A light receiver apparatus for a vehicle comprises a photo diode for receiving an incident light form a surrounding environment, a FET connected in series with the photo diode and a filter for extracting an a.c. signal from a received light signal developed at a junction with the photo diode when a reverse-bias voltage is applied to the photo diode. The a.c. signal is produced by removing from the received light signal a signal corresponding to a background light in the incident light. The FET varies a resistance thereof in accordance with the received light signal so that a d.c. signal in the received light signal is regulated to a fixed level irrespective of the intensity of the background light in the received light.

    摘要: In a vehicle radar device, a predetermined number of received light signals output based on a predetermined number of laser beams radiated from a radar sensor are integrated by an integrator to produce an integrated signal. Integration of the predetermined number of received light signals helps amplify the received light signal components corresponding to the waves reflected by reflecting objects, making it possible to improve the sensitivity for detecting the waves reflected by the reflecting object. There are set a plurality of ranges of the received light signals to be integrated, each being shifted by one received light signal. This minimizes a drop in the angular resolution based on the integrated signals.

    摘要: The invention aims to increase an expansion angle in a road surface direction in a short-distance area without setting a detection range one-sidedly and without sacrificing a maximum detection distance.A double-focus lens is integrally formed by disposing a short-focus portion in the vicinity of a center and a long-focus portion on the periphery of the short-focus portion. A light source is disposed at a distance slightly shorter than the focal length of the short-focus portion of the double-focus lens. When light is emitted from the light source to the double-focus lens, light emerging from the short-focus portion has a small expansion angle such as not to diffuse largely. Therefore, the emerging light can be caused to reach a long distance. On the other hand, light emerging from the long-focus portion has a large expansion angle such as to diffuse to some extent. Therefore, the emerging light can be caused to travel over a short-distance area and, more particularly, over an area extended in a widthwise direction of a road surface.

    摘要: A wheel slip control apparatus for prevention of excessive wheel-slip on acceleration of a vehicle, which includes an engine-output regulating actuator and a braking force regulating actuator. The wheel slip control apparatus comprises a braking force control unit coupled to the braking force regulating actuator and an engine output control unit coupled to the engine-output regulating actuator, which operate in response to the detection of the acceleration-slip occurring with respect to the driven-wheel. The braking force control unit calculates a reference control value of a braking force to be applied to the driven-wheel on the basis of a parameter representing a state of the driven-wheel so as to suppress the acceleration-slip and generates a brake control signal indicative of the calculated braking-force reference control value. Meanwhile, the engine-output control unit is responsive to the brake control signal therefrom to calculate an engine output control amount on the basis of the braking-force reference control value and to supply an engine-output control signal indicative of the calculated engine output control amount to the engine-output regulating actuator so as to decrease the engine output by a value corresponding to the calculated braking-force reference control value.

    摘要: A radar system of a vehicle has a zero-cross comparator, an integrator, and a sensor. The comparator compares a light reception signal output from each one of photoreceptive elements with a predetermined standard signal and outputs a comparison signal indicating two different states corresponding to a result of the comparison. The integrator samples the comparison signal and converts the comparison signal into one-bit digital data. The integrator integrates the digital data for each photoreceptive element. The sensor compares the integrated data of each photoreceptive element with a predetermined integration standard value. The sensor senses a reflection object based on the integrated data equal to or greater than the integration standard value.
