摘要: A disk drive and an information processing system optimizes the number of rotations of a disk. Data read from a disk and previously-read cache data are temporarily stored in buffer memory. When a total amount of cache data achieved during a given period of time T1 or an average amount of the same is equal to or less than a threshold value X1, a system controller controls the number of rotations in an increasing manner, thereby optimizing the number of rotations. When a total amount of cache data achieved during a given period of time T2 (T1

摘要: Disclosed is a transmission power control method for controlling a target SIR which is a target ratio of signal to interference upon comparing error rate and target error rate of receive data on a receiving side, and causing transmission power control to be performed on a transmitting side in such a manner that measured SIR will agree with the target SIR. The method includes previously measuring and storing a correspondence characteristic between error rate and SIR; finding, from the correspondence characteristic, a first SIR with respect to a target error rate and a second SIR with respect to a measured error rate; and updating the target SIR by increasing or decreasing the target SIR by the difference between the first SIR and the second SIR.

摘要: In a crawler crane of the present invention, a plurality of winches 11-14 for winding wire ropes are disposed on a rotating frame 6 of an upper rotating body 3 in a row in a plane view. A cabin 17 and a power unit 18 are disposed on the front and rear portions of either a right side or a left side of the rotating frame 6 of the upper rotating body 3. A working oil tank 36 of the power unit 18 is disposed between the cabin 17 and a driving section 31-34 of the power unit and in close proximity to a rear surface of the cabin 17. The working oil tank 36 is formed in a size which covers the substantially whole area of the rear surface of the cabin 17. In the crawler crane of the present invention, it is possible to take an anti-sound measure for the cabin to a satisfactory extent without causing cost increase. In the crawler crane of the present invention, moreover, it is possible to improve the transportability because the width of the upper rotating body can be shortened.

摘要: A male terminal fitting (1) is formed by bending a flat metal plate worked into a specified shape and includes a contact (2), a rectangular tube (4) formed to be wider than the contact (2), and a link (3) between the contact (2) and the rectangular tube (4). The link (3) is not connected with the front edge of the upper surface of the rectangular tube (4) over the entire width. Thus, bending resistance against an external force can be improved by increasing deflectability while holding down bending rigidity.

摘要: Disclosed a laser processing device capable of recognizing a failure of pulsed laser beam irradiation during a process of pulsed laser beam irradiation and taking appropriate measures. A first judgment section and a second judgment section monitor respectively whether a pulsed laser beam is actually irradiated by an oscillation of a laser oscillator at the timing when a pulse signal is output from a pulse signal output section and whether the pulse signal output section outputs the pulse signal as setting to the laser oscillator at the timing when the pulse signal is output based on the preset pulse number. When there is a failure of the pulsed laser beam irradiation during the processing, the occurrence of failure is recognized and it can be recognized whether the failure is caused by a laser beam irradiating unit or a controller including the pulse signal output section.
