Abstract: There is provided an optical glass having high infrared transmittance and being useful as an on-vehicle infrared sensor and the like. An optical glass including, in expression of atomic %: Ge+Ga; 6% to 30%; S+Se+Te; 50% to 85%; and Ti; 0.001% to 0.5%, wherein a wavelength (λT10%) at a long-wavelength side end in which infrared transmittance in a glass plate of the optical glass converted to a thickness of 1 mm becomes 10% is 12 μm or more.

Abstract: Glass (1) for vehicles includes a light blocking region (A2) in which a far-infrared ray transmission region (B) provided with an opening and a far-infrared ray transmission member arranged in the opening, and a visible light transmission region (C) transmitting visible light are formed. The opening is formed between an upper edge part (1a) of the glass (1) and a first position (P1) in a first direction from the upper edge part (1a) toward a lower edge part (1b) of the glass (1), the first position (P1) is a position at which a distance from the upper edge part (1a) is 30% of a length from the upper edge part (1a) to the lower edge part (1b), and between a second position (P2) and a third position (P3) in a second direction from a side edge part (1c) toward a side edge part (1d) of the glass (1) for vehicles. A length (L2a) in the second direction from the second position (P2) to the third position (P3) is 55% of a length (L2) from the side edge part (1c) to the side edge part (1d), and a length of the longest straight line among straight lines connecting optional two points within a surface on a vehicle exterior side is equal to or smaller than 80 mm.

Abstract: The present invention aims to provide a vehicular exterior member that is excellent in strength and cost, and sufficiently ensures a viewing field of sharpness of a thermal image obtained by a far-infrared camera. A vehicular exterior member that includes a light blocking region and is configured to be attached to a vehicle equipped with a far-infrared camera. The vehicular exterior member further includes, in the light blocking region, a far-infrared ray transmitting region having an opening and a far-infrared ray transmitting member disposed in the opening. An average transmittance of far-infrared rays having a wavelength ranging from 8 to 13 μm of the far-infrared ray transmitting member is equal to or larger than 25%. A length of the longest straight line in straight lines connecting any desired two points on a surface on a vehicle exterior side of the far-infrared ray transmitting member is equal to or smaller than 80 mm. A diameter of the largest circle in circles formed in a projected shape obtained by projecting the far-infrared ray transmitting member in an optical axis direction of the far-infrared camera is equal to or larger than 12 mm. An average thickness of the far-infrared ray transmitting member is equal to or larger than 1.5 mm.

Abstract: An optical member includes a transparent substrate containing at least one substance selected from glass, a glass ceramic, silicon, and sapphire, and having an infrared high-transmittance region in which an optical transmittance is 78% or more in a wavelength band of 700 nm to 1800 nm; and an optical interference film disposed on a main surface of the transparent substrate corresponding to the infrared high-transmittance region, wherein a transmittance of light, of the optical member, of at least one wavelength λ3 in the wavelength band of 700 nm to 1800 nm in a region of the optical member corresponding to the infrared high-transmittance region of the transparent substrate has a minimum value of 86.5% or more and has a difference between the minimum value and a maximum value of 9% or less in a range where an incidence angle is from 0 degrees to 60 degrees.
