    Abstract: An electronic device includes a first communication controller and a second communication controller. The first and second communication controller are configured to communicate wirelessly using respective antennas. The electronic device includes a processor that is configured to execute instructions for determining that the first controller is transmitting a first radio frequency signal, and setting a transmit power of the first controller to a first transmit power value. The processor is configured to execute instructions for determining a duty cycle of the first controller is greater than a packet loss threshold associated with the second controller, and setting the transmit power of the first controller to a second transmit power value. The second transmit power value is less than the first transmit power value.

    Abstract: Described herein are technologies for intelligent antenna selection for optimal performance in an electronic device. One electronic device includes a first radio, coupled to a first antenna and a second antenna, and a processing device coupled to the first radio. During a first period, the first radio transmits a sequence of data packets using the first antenna and the processing device receives a first metric value indicative of a first amount of power received on a third antenna of the second electronic device. During a second period, the first radio transmits the sequence using the second antenna and the processing device receives a second metric value indicative of a second mount of power received on the third antenna. The processing device selects one of the first antenna and the second antenna as a selected antenna based on which one of the first metric value and the second metric value is lower. The processing device causes the first radio to communicate data with a third device using the selected antenna.

    Abstract: Techniques for harmonizing wireless communications performed by a computing device which communicates using varying wireless communication standards are described herein. For instance, a computing device may include multiple chipsets with associated antennas that are configured to perform wireless communications using separate wireless standards which operate at overlapping frequencies. To avoid performance degradation experienced in simultaneous use cases with communications operating at overlapping frequencies, the multiple chipsets may be configured with logic to determine which communications are prioritized when multiple chipsets attempt to communicate simultaneously. The multiple chipsets may be communicatively coupled to coordinate their communications by prioritizing certain types of communications over other types of communications to avoid simultaneous communications in overlapping frequencies. In this way, multiple chipsets that communicate using different standards at overlapping frequencies may avoid performance issues experienced in simultaneous use cases, while performing the communications which are of a highest priority level.

    Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for using presence detection in order to switch between power modes of a display device. For instance, the display device may operate in a first power mode by deactivating a display. While operating in the first power mode, the display device may use a sensor to detect a presence of a possible object. The display device may then switch to a second power mode in order to verify that the possible object is an actual object. In response, the display device may switch to a third power mode by at least activating the display and presenting a user interface using the display. The display device may then receive an interaction. In response, the display device may switch to a fourth power mode by at least presenting content.
