Abstract: A system and method for network channel selection is provided. A device includes WIFI, ZIGBEE, and BLUETOOTH communication controllers. The device's processor is configured to determine, using the communication controllers, a WIFI channel designated for communications and a first set of ZIGBEE channels designated for communications. The processor is configured to determine that a number of available BLUETOOTH channels that do not overlap the WIFI channel or any in-use ZIGBEE channels is less than a threshold number of BLUETOOTH channels required for communication using a BLUETOOTH protocol. The processor then determines the WIFI channel has a minimum duty cycle from among duty cycles of the WIFI channel and each ZIGBEE channel, determines a first BLUETOOTH channel that at least partially overlaps the WIFI channel, and causes the BLUETOOTH communication controller to transmit data using the first BLUETOOTH channel.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are provided for disambiguating phase in radar-based waveforms. A method may include determining a first waveform, the first waveform associated with a first subcarrier and a second subcarrier in a frequency domain, and the first waveform based on radar measurements. The method may include determining a motion signal, and determining, based on the first subcarrier, the second subcarrier, a subcarrier spacing of the subcarriers, and the motion signal, a phase change differential value between the first subcarrier and the second subcarrier. The method may include generating, based on the phase change differential value, a second waveform, and generating a third waveform in the time domain by applying the second waveform to the first waveform.

Abstract: A system and method for network channel selection is provided. A device includes WIFI, ZIGBEE, and BLUETOOTH communication controllers. The device's processor is configured to determine, using the communication controllers, a WIFI channel designated for communications and a first set of ZIGBEE channels designated for communications. The processor is configured to determine that a number of available BLUETOOTH channels that do not overlap the WIFI channel or any in-use ZIGBEE channels is less than a threshold number of BLUETOOTH channels required for communication using a BLUETOOTH protocol. Abstract: An electronic device includes a first communication controller and a second communication controller. The first and second communication controller are configured to communicate wirelessly using respective antennas. The electronic device includes a processor that is configured to execute instructions for determining that the first controller is transmitting a first radio frequency signal, and setting a transmit power of the first controller to a first transmit power value. The processor is configured to execute instructions for determining a duty cycle of the first controller is greater than a packet loss threshold associated with the second controller, and setting the transmit power of the first controller to a second transmit power value. The second transmit power value is less than the first transmit power value.

Abstract: Described herein are technologies for intelligent antenna selection for optimal performance in an electronic device. One electronic device includes a first radio, coupled to a first antenna and a second antenna, and a processing device coupled to the first radio. During a first period, the first radio transmits a sequence of data packets using the first antenna and the processing device receives a first metric value indicative of a first amount of power received on a third antenna of the second electronic device. During a second period, the first radio transmits the sequence using the second antenna and the processing device receives a second metric value indicative of a second mount of power received on the third antenna. The processing device selects one of the first antenna and the second antenna as a selected antenna based on which one of the first metric value and the second metric value is lower. The processing device causes the first radio to communicate data with a third device using the selected antenna.

Abstract: Described are techniques for enabling a computing device, such as a slave device using a Bluetooth Advanced Audio Distribution Protocol (A2DP), to determine times when a master device is likely to be idle, during which communications using an alternate protocol, such as Wi-Fi may be exchanged. The length of a delay period may be determined based in part on counts of successive communications received from a master device. The length of a transmission period for use of the alternate protocol may be determined based in part on lengths of time between sets of communications received from a master device. If no communication is received from the master device for a length of time greater than or equal to the delay period, data may be communicated using the alternate protocol for a length of time less than or equal to the transmission period.

Abstract: Techniques for harmonizing wireless communications performed by a computing device which communicates using varying wireless communication standards are described herein. For instance, a computing device may include multiple chipsets with associated antennas that are configured to perform wireless communications using separate wireless standards which operate at overlapping frequencies. To avoid performance degradation experienced in simultaneous use cases with communications operating at overlapping frequencies, the multiple chipsets may be configured with logic to determine which communications are prioritized when multiple chipsets attempt to communicate simultaneously. The multiple chipsets may be communicatively coupled to coordinate their communications by prioritizing certain types of communications over other types of communications to avoid simultaneous communications in overlapping frequencies. In this way, multiple chipsets that communicate using different standards at overlapping frequencies may avoid performance issues experienced in simultaneous use cases, while performing the communications which are of a highest priority level.

Abstract: Techniques for a dynamic radar mode modulation feature are described herein. A computer system associated with a device may implement a first radar configuration for a radar sensor. The first radar configuration may correspond to a first mode and comprise a first frame per second rate and a first difference threshold. The computer system may receive first data from the radar sensor in the first radar configuration. The computer system may determine a presence of an object within a field of view of the radar sensor based on the first data and the first difference threshold. The computer system may instruct the device to turn on based on determining the presence of the user. The radar sensor may be instructed to implement a second radar configuration associated with a second mode.

Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for using presence detection in order to switch between power modes of a display device. For instance, the display device may operate in a first power mode by deactivating a display. While operating in the first power mode, the display device may use a sensor to detect a presence of a possible object. The display device may then switch to a second power mode in order to verify that the possible object is an actual object. In response, the display device may switch to a third power mode by at least activating the display and presenting a user interface using the display. The display device may then receive an interaction. In response, the display device may switch to a fourth power mode by at least presenting content.
