Abstract: Systems and methods for managing synchronization of protocol data unit (PDU) sessions between a user equipment (UE) and a network are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a determination of whether a message comprising a PDU session status information element (IE) should be sent is based on previous messaging between peer entities of the network. In some embodiments, a determination that the peer entity is informed of a relevant PDU session status is made after expected reply messaging is received in response to prior messaging. In some cases, a reply message without a PDU session status IE is sent from one entity to a peer entity when it is determined that each entity has a matching PDU session status. Cases involving failures detected at the network, and cases where an entity activates a data radio bearer (DRB) of a PDU session that is inactive at its peer are also discussed.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for reducing wireless device service interruptions. An indication of a disaster condition may be provided to a wireless device. The disaster condition may affect a home public land mobile network of the wireless device. The wireless device may perform cell selection in a manner influenced by the indication of the disaster condition. This may include considering cells associated with a forbidden public land mobile network for the cell selection, or excluding cells associated with the home public land mobile network of the wireless device that are unavailable, for example due to the disaster condition, among various possibilities.

Abstract: Techniques are described for slice based public land mobile network selection. An example method includes a network node of a home public land mobile network (HPLMN) transmitting configuration information to a user equipment (UE) to configure the UE to receive enhanced slice-based steering of roaming (SoR) information during a registration process with a visited public land mobile network (VPLMN). The method further includes the network node determining that the UE is registering with the VPLMN. The method further includes the network node transmitting the enhanced slice-based SoR information to the UE based on the determination that the UE is registering with the VPLMN.

In another aspect, a technique for a wireless system to receive, via a network interface, a multiple subscriber identity module (multi-SIM) capability message from a wireless device connected to a first wireless network; generate a registration accept signal in response to receiving the multi-SIM capability message, wherein the registration accept signal indicates a first set of features supported by the first wireless network; and send, via the network interface, the registration accept signal to the wireless device.
