    Abstract: A distributed multi-antenna system includes a first access point configured to emit first beams to a user equipment device. The first access point is also configured to receive, from the user equipment device, an indication of a first beam selected from the first beams via a beam sweeping procedure. The distributed multi-antenna system also includes a second access point configured to receive, from the user equipment device or the first access point, the indication. The second access point is also configured to emit a second beam of second beams corresponding to the second access point to transmit data to the user equipment device based on the indication and a location of the second access point.

    Abstract: A system may include an access point (AP), user equipment (UE), and a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS). The RIS may include an array of elements coupled to adjustable devices controlled to cause the array to reflect signals in different directions. The RIS may be controlled in a first mode in which the AP controls the adjustable devices, a second mode in which the UE controls the adjustable devices, and a third mode in which the RIS controls the adjustable devices. The RIS, AP, or UE may determine which mode to place the RIS in based on a downlink signal transmitted by the AP, an uplink signal transmitted by the UE, measurements of the signals performed on the RIS, a first distance or round trip time between the AP and the RIS, and/or a second distance or round trip time between the UE and the RIS.

    Abstract: A first device may transmit a first symbol for a second device and a second symbol for a third device. The first device may generate a first dictionary and a second dictionary that satisfy a complementary rule. The first device may modulate the first symbol onto an entry from the first dictionary to produce first modulated data and may modulate the second symbol onto an entry from the second dictionary to produce second modulated data. The first device may generate a third symbol as a joint modulation of the first and second modulated data and may transmit the third symbol using a resource element. The second device may decode the third symbol based on the first dictionary to recover the first symbol. The third device may decode the third symbol based on the second dictionary to recover the second symbol. Privacy may be maintained between the second and third devices.

    Abstract: User equipment may include a transmitter and a receiver coupled to an antenna to enable the user equipment to transmit and receive user data with a base station of the wireless network. However, the user equipment may perform power-consuming searches to determine a base station for connection. Furthermore, the connection may be affected by blockages and transitions during mobility scenarios. As such, it may be beneficial for the user equipment to implement mobility procedures. For example, the user equipment may form links with multiple base stations of a cell cluster for transitioning. In another example, the wireless network may generate a map with locations of base stations and beam characteristics for the user equipment to determine coverage areas and decrease a number of transitions. Still in another example, the user equipment may receive blockage information to predict a blockage and implement mobility procedures to maintain wireless service during a blockage.
