    Abstract: In accordance with embodiments disclosed herein, an exemplary system or computer implemented method for implementing Persistent Management Agent (PMA) functions for the control and coordination of DPU and DSLAM components may include, for example: a memory to store instructions for execution; one or more processors to execute the instructions; a virtualized module operating on virtualized computing infrastructure, in which the virtualized module is to provide a virtualized implementation of a plurality of functions associated with one or more remotely located Distribution Point Units (DPUs) and/or Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexers (DSLAMs), each of the one or more remotely located DPUs and/or DSLAMs having a plurality of broadband lines coupled thereto; in which the virtualized module is to further control Persistent Management Agent (PMA) functions and control coordination of the one or more remotely located DPUs and/or DSLAMs and the plurality of broadband lines coupled with the one or more remotely located DPUs and/or DSLAMs by virtualizing one or more functions of the one or more remotely located DPUs and/or DSLAMs to operate on the virtualized computing infrastructure; and a network interface to receive data and send control instructions for operation of the plurality of broadband lines to and from the one or more remotely located DPUs and/or DSLAMs. Other related embodiments are disclosed.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, devices and methods for improving the performance and range of wireless communication systems. In various embodiments, a wireless and wireline architecture is implemented to allow a channel to more efficiently span physical barriers within the channel. The wireline portion of the channel may leverage pre-existing copper deployed within a building by interfacing copper with north and south transceiver nodes that allow the signal to propagate through a physical structure on the wire itself resulting in significantly less signal degradation compared to the signal having to traverse the physical structure wirelessly.

    Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for QoS chaining based on control-plane virtual functions for ensuring end-to-end Quality of Service (QoS) of Internet services. The QoS chaining coordinates broadband service delivery via an orchestrated “chain” or Network Service (NS) consisting of control-plane Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) running in the cloud or virtual infrastructure. Separate service elements, network elements, network domains or other service plane or data plane elements or systems have a separate corresponding VNF in the control plane provide monitor and control functions. The VNFs may be chained, may communicate directly with each other, and may communicate directly with the E2E orchestrator, may communicate with each other through the E2E orchestrator, or may communicate through a shared database.
