Abstract: A control device for controlling an electronic device over a communication network; the electronic device comprises data storage having control parameters and associated access levels which control operation of the electronic device; circuitry which generates a control setup message including the control parameters and access levels; and a network interface for sending the control setup message. Abstract: A method, implemented in a device, for remote resetting of the device to factory default settings, the device comprising an electric circuit adapted to carry out the factory default reset and a secure processing and storage environment, SPSE, the method comprising: receiving, at the SPSE, a request to reset the device to factory default settings and a challenge associated with the request, wherein the request and the challenge are received via a network; initiating, by the SPSE, a reset to factory default settings of the device by communicating with the electric circuit via a communication channel; and sending, by the SPSE, a confirmation via the network, wherein the confirmation includes a response to the challenge as produced by the SPSE and an attestation report, the attestation report being a declaration by the SPSE that the reset to factory default settings is initiated or carried out.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for storing video data includes three or more cameras and a storage space. The storage space is partitioned into an initial set of allotted portions for storing video data captured by the video cameras. A video quality value is set for encoding video by each camera, and it is periodically determined whether maintaining the video quality value would cause the camera to exceed the allotted portion of storage space. If it is determined that the amount of video data for a camera exceeds its allotment of space, the video quality is reduced. If it is determined that the video quality from a camera falls below a quality threshold, the storage space is re-partitioned into which increased storage space is allotted to the camera having a video quality that falls below the threshold value, and decreased storage space is allotted to at least one other camera.
