摘要: According to this invention, the prior art problem that relatively many steps and a long time are required for obtaining a high quality polycarbonate of a high molecular weight by a solid phase polymerization method has been solved by subjecting a polycarbonate oligomer to swollen solid phase polymerization under an atmosphere containing a swelling solvent gas or subjecting a polycarbonate oligomer to poor solvent solid phase polymerization under a stream of a poor solvent gas.

摘要: Processes for producing polycarbonate by solid phase polymerization which simplify the crytallization to be conducted prior to the solid phase polymerization to thereby permit further shortening in the treatment time. A process for producing polycarbonate is characterized in that an amorphous polycarbonate prepolymer prepared by transesterification of aromatic dihydroxy compound with a diester of carbonic acid is prepolymerized in a solid phase under an atmosphere containing gaseous swollen solvent while the prepolymer is kept in a fluid state. Another process for producing polycarbonate is characterized in that a mixture comprising an amorphous polycarbonate prepolymer prepared by transesterification of an aromatic dihydroxy compound with a diester of carbonic acid and a polycarbonate prepolymer which has undergone crystallization is prepolymerized in a solid phase under an atmosphere containing a gaseous swollen solvent.

摘要: A printing apparatus and method can control vibration generated resulting from the movement of a carriage to be small even when a desired printing pattern, etc., may change. The carriage is moved based on a plurality of drive conditions, each specifying a different moving distance of the carriage, and a drive condition by which vibration generated at that time becomes not larger than a predetermined magnitude is set as a drive condition of the carriage when printing an image on a printing medium.

摘要: A voltage-dividing circuit 60, which is formed of serially connected voltage-dividing resistors R1, R2, R3, is disposed between the source terminal S of a power MOSFET 15 and the ground. The divided voltage Va at a connecting point A is applied to one of the input terminals of a comparator 62, while the divided voltage Vb at a connecting point B is applied to one of the input terminals of a comparator 64. The other input terminals of the comparators 62, 64 are connected to the connecting line between an external terminal P4, to which an external resistor 12 is connected, and an FET 30.

摘要: With a wire protection method in accordance with the present invention, the method being used for supplying electric power from a power source to a load, an applied-current to the load is detected every predetermined time, A wire rise temperature is calculated using the detected applied-current I(n) and by a relational expression concerning heat radiation and heat generation of the wire. The calculated rise in temperature is added to a reference temperature so that a wire temperature is estimated. When the estimated wire temperature is lower than a predetermined upper limit temperature, the calculation of the rise in temperature is repeated. When the estimated wire temperature has become equal to or higher than the predetermined upper limit temperature, the electric power supply from the power source to the load is stopped so that the wire is protected.

摘要: A power supply controller includes a semiconductor switching element disposed on a current supply line from a power source to a load. The semiconductor switching element is switched between ON and OFF for controlling power supply to the load. A short anomaly of the semiconductor switching element is determined if at least one of an input-to-output voltage of the semiconductor switching element being smaller than a first threshold and the semiconductor switching element being in an ON state is detected, when an OFF signal for instruction to turn OFF the semiconductor switching element is received.

摘要: A power supply circuit for various actuators includes control lines associated with the actuators that receive power from a single voltage increasing circuit. The power supply circuit supplies power to the control lines by splitting or dividing power from a voltage increasing circuit, which is configured to increase an on-board power source voltage. Power is supplied to loads by driving circuits. The loads are individually driven by activating switches. An auxiliary control line is connected to one of the control lines so that auxiliary voltage is able to be supplied or applied. A voltage-holding circuit is provided in connection with the other control line to eliminate influence associated with the activation of one control line with respect to the other control line.
