    摘要: A provisioning machine may receive a request that an application be executed while distributed according to a distribution constraint among various devices. The provisioning machine may access a topological model that represents multiple devices configured as a single cloud-based application server and defines a first group of devices that have the same redundancy status (e.g., active or backup). In addition, the topological model may define a second group of devices that have the same functional role (e.g., executing a particular component of the application). A device may be a member of both the first group and the second group. The provisioning machine may determine a size of the first group according to the distribution constraint. Based on the determined size of the first group, the provisioning machine may configure (e.g., provision) the first group of devices as a subset of the multiple devices of the server.

    摘要: Provided is sub-block motion estimation that includes a full search with a reduced search area around a motion vector predictor. Also provided are a single (or unified) motion vector predictor and a function similar to a rate-distortion cost function. Also provided is a scanning order that can reduce or substantially eliminated redundant data loading and/or that can achieve different data re-use ratio. Further, provided herein is a reconfigurable multi-resolution motion vector re-use hardware architecture based on a single motion vector predictor and a function similar to a rate-distortion cost function. Further, through utilization of the disclosed aspects, only a small number of past motion vectors are propagated and the disclosed aspects can be reconfigured for video with different spatial resolution.

    摘要: Various embodiments of a system and methods for using contextual features to improve face recognition in digital images are described. A face recognition system may semi-automatically label faces and/or search for faces in images. Faces may be detected in the images and visual and non-visual features may be determined for each face. The determined features may be facial and/or contextual features. Features may also be determined from labels assigned to the faces. Pair-wise comparisons of the faces, using the determined features, may determine distances between pairs of faces. Some features may be used to determine the relevance of other features. Dependent on the calculated distances, similar faces may be grouped and suggested labels for faces may be provided. The system may be scalable, processing faces in groups to limit the use of system resources to a certain amount, regardless of the size of a digital image collection.

    摘要: A system for accessing entertainment options includes a graphic user interface generator that generates program listing display data to display a listing of programs available for downloading to a user on an associated display device. A user may select one or more programs from the listing displayed on the associated display device using the user access device, thereby initiating download of the selected program by the communication component. The storage device stores user history data, which is used to generate recommendation display data based upon the recommendation data to enable the user to view and/or select for download recommended programs. The graphic user interface generator may generate download queue data for display on the associated display device, wherein the displayed download queue data enables the user to view and/or edit the current download status of each program to be downloaded. The program data from the remote communication system may include real-time programs broadcast by the remote communication system, program guide data including current and future broadcast program information, and download program data including programs available for download from the remote communication system, which the user may search using the user access device.
