    摘要: An analytical device that can be used to conveniently and accurately assay plural vessels. In one exemplary embodiment, a pair of LED sources provides illumination through a pair of radial waveguides to plural vessels arranged in a pair of substantially concentric and circular rows about the LED sources. A light pipe receives light transmitted through a vessel from each radial waveguide and reflects the received light downward to a single printed circuit board that contains a photodiode for each light pipe, as well as processing circuitry. The first LED source/radial waveguide optical is used to confirm the presence of a vessel, and the second is used to perform, e.g., turbidometric and/or calorimetric assays upon an analyte within the vessel. The vessel is incubated in a vessel support that includes a heat conducting base and a heat insulating cover. Heat is supplied by a DC heater.

    摘要: An illustrative embodiment provides a computer-implemented process for distributed management of native interface arrays. The computer-implemented process obtains an array type native interface call in a first system from a caller in a second system, identifies an array type of the array type native interface call to form an identified array type, and requests array elements associated with the identified array type to form requested array elements, wherein added metadata is associated with the requested array elements. The computer-implemented process builds an enhanced data structure using the requested array elements and the associated added metadata and returns a pointer within the enhanced data structure to the caller. The pointer can be used by the caller to manipulate array data of the array elements, and the first system can calculate an address of the added metadata in constant time from the pointer.

A computer-implemented method for doing so creates a graphical display of compliance exceptions identified within the organization over time and displays a plot or curve for each source that identified the compliance exceptions. The graphical display may include: an audit function plot; a business line plot; a compliance function plot; and/or a regulator plot. An apparatus for monitoring and analyzing compliance risk in includes a database, a processor and a graphical user interface. The database stores data regarding identified compliance exceptions. The processor weights each compliance exception and categorizes each source. The graphical user interface separately plots a resulting value of weighted compliance exceptions based on source.

    摘要: The present invention relates to methods and products for improved production of the lantibiotic mersacidin. There is provided a method of producing a mersacidin variant which comprises introducing into a cell which is a ΔMrsA host cell an expression vector encoding said variant, and recovering said variant from the cell culture. Preferred variants include the novel variants of Table 1, e.g. mersacidin F3W, said mersacidin F3W optionally having a further one or more variations, e.g. mersacidin F3W G8A. Also provided is a Bacillus cell which is a SigH deficient strain of Bacillus sp. HIL Y-85,54728 (NCIMB Accession Number NCIMB 41211); this cell may also be used in the production of mersacidin and its variants. Further aspects of the invention include a DNA cassette which comprises a nucleotide sequence encoding the mersacidin mrsA propeptide, and a method to transform a Bacillus HIL host cell with plasmid, which method includes the step of electroporation.
