    摘要: A stapler with a storage chamber has an opening which is closable by a removable door or slipper. The slipper includes a flexible perimeter which fits on a frame in the stapler storage chamber. The stapler may further include one or more of the following: i) a device for stabilizing the pivotal connection between the slipper and the base when the slipper is opened and limiting pivotal displacement of the slipper; ii) a retaining device for selectively retaining and releasing the slipper relative to a base of the stapler; iii) a magnetic device for magnetically attaching the stapler to objects; iv) a reinforcement device for supporting an anvil of the stapler and frictionally latching the slipper to the base; and v) an arrangement for frictionally retaining the anvil to the base of the stapler.

    摘要: A medical system includes a sedation system and a central station in communication with the sedation system. The sedation system includes a monitoring unit and a drug delivery unit. The monitoring unit is operable to monitor at least one physiological parameter of a patient. The drug delivery unit is operable to deliver drugs to the patient based on data from the monitoring unit. The central station is operable to store patient related data and access a plurality of sedation systems. The central station may remotely control drug delivery through sedation systems, remotely provide voice instructions through sedation systems, display video feeds from sedation systems, respond to queries from sedation systems, and/or provide other functionalities. The system may also include an instrument that is operable to perform surgical and/or therapeutic procedures on the patient. The sedation system may provide power to the instrument and/or otherwise communicate with the instrument.

    摘要: A fiber optic connector includes a housing having a longitudinal passage extending therethrough and having two ends. A rear end is adapted for attaching a fiber optic cable therethrough. A front end is adapted for having a mating fiber contact plug secured thereto in the passage. The plug has a fiber-receiving passage coextensive with the passage in the housing. A retaining ring is disposed in a transverse groove in the passage in the housing for abutment against the fiber contact plug near the front end thereof to secure the plug in the passage in the housing. A tool is provided for assembling the fiber optic connector. The tool includes a head for receiving and holding the housing of the connector in position with the fiber contact plug and retaining ring insertable into the passage thereof. A pusher apparatus is mounted for movement relative to the head and is engageable with the retaining ring to push the retaining ring into the groove while the connector housing is held by the head of the tool.

In one employment, drug delivery is varied by a controller or a user based at least on variations in the device output signal. A method for conscious sedation of a patient includes measuring muscular tension of the patient and includes varying delivery of a conscious sedation drug to the patient based at least on variations in the measured muscular tension of the patient.
