摘要: A method of communicating with a physiological sensor is disclosed. In an embodiment, the method includes supplying power through a first conductor in a first mode to the physiological sensor and communicating with an information element through the first conductor in a second mode. The physiological sensor includes the information element, a power supply configured to receive and store power from the first conductor in the first mode, and sensing circuitry configured to receive power from the first conductor in the first mode. The power supply releases the stored power to the sensing circuitry in the second mode.

摘要: A device for obtaining physiological information of a medical patient can include a blood pressure device that can be coupled to a medical patient and a wireless transceiver electrically coupled with the blood pressure device. The wireless transceiver can wirelessly transmit blood pressure data received by the blood pressure device and physiological data received from one or more physiological sensors coupled to the blood pressure device.

摘要: An apparatus for transporting a patient care device comprises a vertically adjustable first horizontal flange secured to a patient transport device, a patient care apparatus having an elongate vertical member supporting a patient care device, and a second horizontal flange disposed on an upper portion of the vertical member of the patient care apparatus. The upper portion of the vertical member may be detachable from the base portion thereof. In order to secure the patient care device to the patient transport apparatus, a mating means on the first horizontal flange is aligned directly below a mating means on the second horizontal flange. The first horizontal flange is then elevated until it interlockingly engages the second horizontal flange. The first flange is further elevated until the upper portion of the vertical member detaches from the base portion and becomes freely supported by the patient transport device.

摘要: An alarm system can include one or more processors. Such processors can receive physiological parameter data associated with a patient. The one or more processors can also select an alarm pattern based at least in part on an indicator of an attribute of the patient. The alarm pattern can include a plurality of different thresholds and corresponding periods of time. Further, the one or more processors can generate an alarm when a value associated with the physiological parameter data satisfies at least one threshold of the plurality of thresholds for the period of time corresponding to the at least one threshold.

摘要: A blood pressure device including a compressible material can be placed around a limb of a patient (e.g. a band or cuff). Further, the blood pressure device can include a sleeve that, at least partially, covers the compressible material and is capable of compressing the compressible material to occlude a patient's blood vessel without inflating the sleeve. In some embodiments, the sleeve can compress the compressible material using a motor assembly. This motor assembly can include a motor and any additional mechanical devices that can be used to facilitate compressing the compressible material. For example, the motor assembly may include one or more of the following: a cable, a pulley, and a gear assembly, such as a worm drive or any other gear assembly that can facilitate compressing the compressible material.

摘要: Multiple devices that are each suitable for use at a selected one of multiple locations are managed using a network of links that are each assigned to one of the locations. Each link is selectable between a state in which a device is not using the link and a state in which one or more devices are using the link. Links that are in use by the devices are identified and the locations at which the devices are used are determined based on the identities of the links that are in use.
