A rotor assembly (120) includes an impeller (40) rotatable about an axis (44) to move fluid from the inlet (24) to the outlet (26). A motor (50) imparts rotation of the impeller (40) about the axis (44). The motor (50) includes a motor stator (52) fixed to the stator assembly (122), a motor rotor (54) fixed to the rotor assembly (120), and a radial motor gap (34) between the stator (52) and the rotor (54). The pump (20) is configured to direct a mixed blood flow from the fluid inlet (24) to the fluid outlet (26) and a wash flow through the motor gap (34).

A secondary exchange module is configured to receive the oxygen loaded carrier fluid and a physiological fluid having the carbon dioxide therein. The secondary exchange module is configured to transfer the oxygen from the oxygen loaded carrier fluid to the physiological fluid and transfer carbon dioxide from the physiological fluid to the carrier fluid to create an oxygen loaded physiological fluid.

    摘要： Personal hydration systems that include a fluid reservoir and may be housed within a pack. Drink fluid is drawn from the reservoir through a drink tube to a mouthpiece. In some embodiments, the hydration system includes a manually actuated on/off valve, a filter, a pump, a quick-connect assembly, and/or a bite-actuated mouthpiece. The quick-connect assembly fluidly interconnects components of the hydration system and is configured to quickly release, and permit reattachment of, the detached components or replacement components, which may enable different performance from the detached components. In some embodiments, the on/off valve is integrated with an exit port of the reservoir. In some embodiments, the valve is positioned downstream of the exit port. In some embodiments, at least a portion, if not the entire, hydration system is formed from at least one chemically resistant material. In some embodiments, the reservoir is formed from a heat-sealable and/or multilaminate material.

    摘要： A glare resistant display for automotive vehicles has a lens with horizontal grooves which deflect reflections of external light sources, such as sun light, away from drivers while allowing illumination from behind the lens to pass therethrough so as to be visible to drivers. Indicia is disposed on the front face of the lens and a pointer pivots behind the front face. The indicia and pointer are made distinct because they block or absorb portions of the illumination coming from behind the lens. By utilizing lenses which minimize reflection, dials of instrument panels can be moved further toward steering wheels and drivers, thereby releasing space behind the dials for other uses.
