    摘要： A system and method are disclosed for reducing interference in simultaneous wireless LAN (WLAN) and wireless personal area network (PAN) signal handling in mobile wireless terminals having both a WLAN and a PAN interface. The wireless terminal includes a first transceiver operating in the PAN network in a communications band and a first communications protocol transmitting first data units. The wireless terminal also includes a second transceiver operating in the WLAN network in substantially the same communications band and a second communications protocol transmitting second data units. The wireless terminal further includes a controller coupled to the first and second transceivers, assigning a higher transmission priority to the second data units than to the first data units when transmission of the second data units overlaps a first occurring transmission of the first data units, to abort transmission of the first occurring data unit. The controller assigns a higher transmission priority to the aborted first data unit than to the second data units when transmission of the second data units overlaps the retransmission of the aborted first data unit, to transmit the aborted first data unit.

    摘要： The invention solves the problem of reducing interference in simultaneous wireless LAN (WLAN) and Bluetooth signal handling, especially in voice over IP communications via a WLAN telephone to a Bluetooth headset. The invention sets up a voice link between the terminal and the headset by establishing sniff anchor points in the ACL link for assigning relative priorities to the WLAN and Bluetooth ACL packet traffic. A higher priority is assigned to WLAN packet traffic when it collides with original Bluetooth ACL packet traffic during a sniff anchor point. Thereafter, a higher priority is assigned to the terminal's retransmission of aborted Bluetooth ACL packets and the headset's response ACL packets in available Bluetooth slots following the anchor point.

    摘要： A system for expediting wireless connection establishment between wireless-enabled apparatuses. In at least one example implementation an apparatus may transmit discovery messages for discovering other apparatuses. The apparatus may receive one or more messages responding to the discovery message, and may determine whether any of the received responses satisfy a predetermined response criteria. If the apparatus determines that any of the received messages satisfy the response criteria, wireless connection establishment may be expedited between the apparatus and a source apparatus for each of the received messages that satisfy the response criteria. In an alternative scenario where a touch mode may be active in an apparatus that receives a message from at least one other apparatus, the apparatus may determine whether the message satisfies a predetermined criteria. If the message is determined to satisfy the criteria, the apparatus may expedite wireless connection establishment to the other apparatus.

In accordance with at least one embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus may sense a first change in the disposition of the apparatus, and may initiate device discovery based on the first sensed change. One or more of the plurality of radio modems may be a dual-mode radio modem enabled to communicate using at least two separate radio protocols concurrently. These management resources may receive information from the operating system level of the WCD and from the at least two radio modem stacks utilizing the resources of the dual mode radio modem in order to coordinate the operation of the at least two radio protocols concurrently active in the modem.
