    摘要: A roll over vent valve comprising: a housing having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, the latter comprising a substantially elongated slit-like outlet aperture of the housing bounded by a valve seating. There is furthermore provided a float member located in the housing and axially displaceable within the housing between the inlet and the outlet; an elongated flexible closure membrane strip anchored at one end thereof to an end of the float member adjacent the outlet and at a portion thereof offset with respect to the outlet; spring biassing means located within the housing and bearing on the float member so as to spring bias it in the direction of the outlet; whereby the spring biassing together with buoyancy forces acting on the float member tend to press the membrane strip into sealing engagement with the outlet aperture whilst gravity forces acting on the float member tend to displace the float member away from the outlet so as to progressively detach the strip from sealing engagement with the outlet.

    摘要: The present invention is an aerosol inhalation interface, and a method for its use. The device delivers a flow of aerosol medication to a patient breathing tidally by creating a medication rich environment proximal to the nose and mouth of the patient, while the patient is in a reclining position. The device, which is suspended above the patient's nose and mouth, is comprised of an aerosol generator, which generates medicated particles; a containment region, into which the generator discharges the medicated particles; a downwardly projecting outlet sleeve, which is connected to the containment region and channels the particles from the containment region to create a medication rich environment proximal to the nose and mouth of the patient; and an air movement deflector, which inhibits the dispersion of the particles and disturbance of the medication rich environment.

    摘要: A head rest support mechanism for a vehicle seat, the head rest being fitted with at least one support rod having a plurality of notches and being supported by the seat back and adapted for vertical adjustment with respect thereto, the support mechanism further including a guiding member fixed to the seat back and comprising a bore slidingly and snugly supporting the support rod. There is a latching spring supported by the guiding member and having one end fixed to the guiding member, another end projecting from the guiding member, and an intermediate, looped, notch engaging portion being normally biased to engage a portion of a notch. The support rod comprises a plurality of notches each lying in a plane which is perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the rod and a normal of the plane is not perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The arrangement is such that axial displacement of the support rod in an upward direction entails lateral displacement of the notch engaging portion so as to disengage from the notch, and downward displacement of the supporting rod is possible only upon laterally displacing the notch engaging portion by expelling the projecting end of the latching spring.

    摘要: An over filling interdiction valve, fitted within a fluid tank, the valve comprising a housing furnished with a first fluid inlet at a bottom end thereof and a first fluid outlet at top end thereof, a float member located within the housing and being displaceable along its longitudinal axis between the first inlet and the first outlet. The float member comprises at its bottom end a second fluid inlet and near its top end a second fluid outlet. Sealing means are associated at a top end of the float member for sealing the first fluid outlet and biasing means are provided within the housing for biasing the float member towards the first fluid outlet. The arrangement being such that the biasing means together with buoyancy forces acting on the float member tend to urge the float member to a sealing position in which the sealing means sealingly engage with the first fluid outlet, whilst gravity forces acting on the float member tend to displace the float member away from the first fluid outlet to an unsealed position. The valve further comprises means for restricting fluid ingress into the float member, wherein raising of the fluid level in the tank results in rise of the fluid level within the housing, as a consequence of which the float member is urged to the sealing position.
