摘要: A vehicle headlamp system includes a headlamp having multiple control devices and an ECU. Each of the control devices controls a light irradiation condition of the headlamp. The ECU stores vehicle constants, error code information and initialization information corresponding to different types of vehicle, and controls the control devices. When a vehicle type is changed, the ECU selects at least one of the vehicle constants corresponding to the changed vehicle type, clears the stored error code information and the initialization information after selecting the at least one of the vehicle constants, stores initialization information corresponding to the changed vehicle type, and initializes the control devices. The ECU recognizes dependencies between the control devices and, if the control devices include a first control device that is independent, executes normal control by the first control device directly after initializing the first control device.

摘要: In an automatic leveling apparatus, a motor inclines an optical axis of a headlamp in an up and down direction relative to a vehicle body, a vehicle height sensor detects a change in a height direction of an axle portion of a front wheel or a rear wheel of a vehicle, and an involatile memory records a control constant inherent to the vehicle. CPU determines whether the control constant is recorded to the involatile memory, calculates a pitch angle based on the control constant inherent to the vehicle and a detecting output of the vehicle height sensor, and controls to drive the motor by generating a control signal for canceling the pitch angle. CPU calculates the pitch angle on a condition that the control constant is recorded to the involatile memory, outputs the control signal and stops to output the control signal to the motor otherwise.

摘要: Because the dynamic range of a solid-state image sensor is relatively narrow, it is necessary to reduce the amount of light using an aperture so that the amount of light incident on the solid-state image sensor is within the range of the dynamic range. However, the amount of control at this time may exceed a controllable range which is the maximum limit of an amount in which diffraction is not generated. As a result, the amount of control by the aperture is determined so that the amount of control by the aperture does not exceed the controllable range, and an ND filter, which corresponds to or is approximate to the amount of control of reduced light which was obtained by subtracting the amount of control by the aperture from the total amount of control, is placed on an optical path.

摘要: There is provided an ink cartridge that is capable of supplying a pigment-based ink and at the same time suppressing the mixing of a sedimentary ink into the supplied pigment-based ink, or suppressing the generation of the sedimentary ink even when left unused, or removing the sedimentary ink by initial delivery of the ink after the cartridge is left unused, thereby reducing unevenness of printing. An ink reservoir holds an ink absorbent material therein for storage of the pigment-based ink. An ink delivery block is formed at a lower portion of the ink reservoir, and has a communication passage formed therethrough such that it extends from an outside of the ink reservoir up to an inner opening of the communication passage opening into an inside of the ink reservoir, for communication between the outside and the inside of the ink reservoir. The sedimentary ink is suppressed from flowing to the inner opening.

摘要: A shooting video game machine comprising a mock gun having a trigger, a monitor which presents flying characters and characters other than flying characters to form a game playing display while causing a bullet to travel in a predetermined direction in synchronization of the pulling of the trigger, and a controller module comprising a game controller and a graphic controller. The graphic controller comprises a graphic processor, a character control block, a bullet control block, a hit determining block, and a proximity determining block. The hit determining block determines whether the bullet hits each of the characters, and the proximity determining block determines whether the bullet hits the proximity area of each flying character, when the hit determining block determines that the bullet hits none of the characters. When the hit determining block determines that the bullet hits a character, a strike display is presented. When the proximity determining block determines that the bullet hits the proximity area of a flying character, a smoke screen display is presented.

摘要: When the solenoid valves constituting the transmission ratio control valve should fail electrically, the toroidal continuously variable transmission shifts the transmission ratio toward the speed increasing side to avoid possible dangers of a car while traveling and at the same time cancels variations of the spool valve movement caused by the control oil pressures of the solenoid valve. The two solenoid valves that control the oil pressures acting on the both ends of the transmission ratio control valve having a spool valve are of opposite types, a normally open type and a normally closed type. The duty A and duty B for these solenoid valves are set to equal values (S11). Even when any of the solenoid valves are electrically failed, the transmission ratio of the toroidal speed change unit in the toroidal continuously variable transmission is shifted toward the speed increasing side, which is a safe side for the running car. The duty signal for one of the solenoid valves is output through a timer count (S13) so that it is 180 degrees out of phase with the duty signal for the other solenoid valve (S14). Hence, variations of the spool valve movement caused by the control oil pressures acting on the both ends of the transmission ratio control valve can be offset.
